Awesome! I wonder if he’s going to work with DV.
See all that orange? Makes me think no.

What? I hope he doesn’t get hurt racing supercross his first season at supercross. I want to see him healthy for the outdoors. I hope eventually he does win Supercross titles.
I hear you. I really wish he would follow Rattray's lead by coming over to race the Nationals his first year and SX his second year.

That might have been true 15 years ago, but Vialle is the first world champion to come to America since Musquin and Roczen.

Great to see KTM stepping up . Would love to see a healthy Hunter/Shimoda/Vialle 250 national title battle !

Oh I’m excited to see Vialle race here! I think he’ll surprise some people in SX and obviously he’s going to be a legit threat outdoors.

If the AMA SX and Motocross is no longer endorsed by the FIM or world supercross, why should foreigners be allowed to come and compete in a domestic series? I know the AMA has no rule against allowing foreigners, but you would think effective enforcement of visas and immigration laws by our inept border agents would prevent people like this from stealing american jobs, opportunities, and outright currency

This may be a hot take, a dumb/stupid idea or whatever you want to call it but I feel like they should have him run through the SX season as any other rider would but only on the practice side. Give him a full season of SX training and practice but have him debut at the nationals.

If the word is true that he hasn't done much of SX, let alone full blown AMA SX style tracks, let him get his feet wet with a SX season of training and switch to outdoors when the SX season is dwindling down and have him come out swinging for 250 MX. I'd just hate for a high caliber dude like this to get injured in his first year of SX and it cost him him his debut in AMA MX due to an injury in SX and he has to rebuild for SX again the next year.

I understand I'm definitely leaning on the side of caution and playing with other people's money but throwing someone into the SX grinder the first year their come over to give it a shot and get their feet wet just seems a little short sighted when his current strength is MX. If someone like J. Cooper is reportedly doing MX only in the 250 class next year, it leads me to believe that it's not an impossible or massive reach.

Regardless, SX is a must if you are racing in the US so it is inevitable but I'd just hate to see a young dude like this ruin a season where he could really show his potential early on.

Wonder how he stacks up against the Lawrence bros.
The last time him and Jett raced was 2018?

I don’t really understand why he would go to the AMA’s now. Some years ago - sure. But to bother riding indoor and outdoor supercross from Jan - Sept as a Gp rider; I just don’t see the point. The US outdoor tracks are not what they once were. Never mind the fans can’t watch the races. Good luck to him though, guess I can follow his outdoor supercross career on social media at least

I'm looking forward to seeing how he does, but my guess is top 5 in his first season. Hunter, Cooper, and Shimoda are going to make a top 3 very very difficult.

Some issue as Justin cooper.
They have to go to the 450 class and they don't want to or dont feel ready to go.

Geezuz, you are one sorry butt-hurt mf-and your comment is probably the nastiest comment I've ever seen on Vital.

You got no clue as to the roots of USA dirt bike racing.

I heard he was trying to get a 450 ride last year so I don't think this is related to him not wanting to move up, he may not win the title this year anyway so he wouldn't have to move up if he stayed

If an American want that “job” that Vialle is taking, he better twist that throttle some more!

This is awesome. The kid is an amazing dirt bike rider and will do well regardless of what discipline it is.

It’ll be an even bigger jump than normal in terms of the production rule, he’s on the “current generation” (GP) chassis with the previous generations engine.

Pretty keen to see how he goes! The kid’s damn fast.

I don't give a flying rat's ass where a good racer is from.
If they want to come here and make our great racing even better.....
Then I'm all for it.

Stealing American jobs hahaha. Americans are welcome to take factory rides man. No one is stopping them except themselves.

If you think about it, moto families pay hundreds of thousands-sometimes a million dollars to develop their kid from age 5 to age 17. They do this on the slim hope that a spot will be available on a 250F team. There’s aleady only 10-12 spots available total on real teams. To then find out that your kid never had a shot anyway because the manufacturer could just pick a more “boutique” rider from France or whatever is a real punch in the face. Mind you, the whole AMA SX/MX series is propped up by American fan attendance and American sales of items through American advertising. Why even allow a foreigner to come and take the money and opportunity out of the pocket of an American? It makes no sense to me

Entitlement? Nah this has nothing to do with asking for a handout. It’s fair to think that Americans should anticipate some ROI. Foreign riders should have to get a work visa like everyone else. We don’t just allow European specialty workers to come in and take American technical jobs at their own free choosing. Border patrol implements strict enforcement. But there is a loophole allowing racers to come. Need to change visa laws !
