5. Broc Glover. Would be 4th, but Hannah let him bye.

4. Guy Cooper. Air Time was a monster on the 125 and feathered that clutch like no other. Unorthodox style that worked.

3. RC. Second all time in 125cc wins and it was just the start of his epic career.

2. Mark Barnett. Some would put Mark at number 1 on the list, and given his era it is a good argument. Mark was unstoppable and is a legend. He would be number one, but...

1. James Stewart. No words are necessary here. The best 125cc rider ever.

Wrong video choice tough..
Teasing a injured guy on a bike he ”hated” was not cool.
The video of ”dead last to win” is better:
(Moto 2)

Also: what about Johnny O’ ?

Doug Henry’s 125 career was prettty unbelievable as well. 2 time outdoor champ after some really solid years as a privateer. Look at 93 where 2nd and 3rd to him in the championship was Emig and McGrath. he would have smoked Guy cooper too that year but Guy moved up. Lamson also had a great 125 career but I would not have him over Doug because Doug straight up beat him (and ryno) in 94. I like the list but Henry should be #4 on it

Broc is definitely #4.

Guy is a fan favorite but does not belong #5, lucky to get in the top 10.

#5 could be Lammy, Marty Smith, Henry, Diamond or Kiedrowsky.

As much as I like Guy Cooper I respectfully disagree with him on the list. Marty Smith!

No way. They raced heads up on identical bikes in 94 and Henry won.

Espn called Emig mr 125 he was the fastest in 93,94 but the bike blew up too much. Henry was fast in 91 leading races on a DGY 125 on the cr he was 2 time champion. The 125 list needs to be a top 20. There’s a long list of European 90,s riders too. Puzar 95 champ is text book 125 specialist he won in 2000 like Lamson. Dutch rider Stribos was fast until retirement . Chiodi

Lamson and Dymond are right there, but Henry beat Lammy on the same bike and beat them both on big bikes.

Yes Lammy was a beast.

Sorry Cooper, but Lamson gets your spot on that list.

This list would be so much clearer if it was a Top 3 125 MX list podium.

I was going to mention O'Mara. He and Wardy had some awesome battles in '84.

How can you have a best 125 rider list and not have Marty Smith on it....

Because Marty, as good as he was, isn’t in the top 15 for wins.

Lamson has many more wins in the 125 class than Henry, and was a beast on the tiddler.

Gotta go with Don on this one.

With a little more knowledge or more homework you would see Marty #5. Only raced the 125 class for 3 years. The 125 class had less rounds then. 4 rounds in 74, 7 in 75 and 8 in 76. That's a total of 19 rounds and Marty won almost half of those, with 8 total. Plus, you probably know this, that Marty won a few GP's in 76 when he was splitting time between the US and Europe. It sure didn't help his AMA results.

If you don't take my word for it, ask Bob.

Henry beat him straight up on 125s.

Can’t compare as the first year he raced the points and wins weren’t counted and during his time on 125’s there were only 6 rounds per year. To leave him off the list of the best 125 riders is nuts…he was dominating on both sides of the pond,..

Mike Brown would be in my Top 5. Brownie is a great 125 rider but alot of bad luck over the years. One title in 2001.

These lists are sooooo subjective. Here's mine...

1. James
2. RC
3. Bomber
4. O'Show (1986 MX des Nations seals it for me)
5. Glover

125s are hard to rank. Take Lamson for example, he really started to dominate when all of his peers were out of the class. Emig, McGrath, Henry, etc.

We all agree that Bomber is 2-3 I have him in 3rd but a lot of his peers were also racing 250/500s.

That why guys like Stew and RC are untouchable and later RV On the 250f. They came in as kids and dominated and moved out quick.
