He is doing better than Barcia and Anderson. So, why not him?

he may be ahead in points, but anderson is faster, and would adapt better to the small bike.

Besides that I don’t think it’s a good idea to put any of those three on a 250, 2009 was the last time Dunge raced a 250. His riding style also doesn’t really fit the 250.

Mmmm, it's not really his riding style though is it... you'd likely be better putting any of the other guys on one, or if it had to be him, Chase or Eli on a 250 and Dungey on the 450

I mentioned this in that other thread over a week ago. I suggested that Dungey or Craig would be better than Barcia or Anderson.

Dungey looks smaller than both Barcia and Anderson so might not be a terrible idea. Also the time off seems to not matter. He just took 5 years off of racing a 450 professionally and is running top 5 in points. What's 12 years off of a 250? 🤷‍♂️

No thanks. Dungey sucks at mxdn on ktm. had somehow had a great career on the ktm but he looked waaaaaaay better on the suzuki.

It‘s weird that Team USA even have to consider a 450 rider going 250.. such a hyped up amateur scene, but no heavy hitter in the 250 class at the moment.

Same but Dungey hasn't been improving as much as I hoped, we'll see how Millville goes today. Craig or Barcia on the 250 is looking pretty good now though.

He’s the only one still racing that has won for team USA, but that’s a no for me on the 250.

It should be Barcia for many reasons.

- he has been to the MxDn before - and knows the drill
- he can handle the pressure
- his riding style fits a 250
- will be the talk of the Des Nations to see him out there on the limiter
- might be his last one

Dungey has more 250 MX titles than Anderson, Barcia and Craig combined...

He doesn't bounce the motor off the rev limiter though so that means he wouldn't be fast on a 250..... (sarcasm)

If anything give Dungey a 450 spot you know you'll get 2 good consistent moto finishes there.

I actually like that a lot. I know it’s obvious… but the winner is usually the consistent team with less bad motos. Not necessarily the team trying to put 2 guys on the podium every moto and ending up with a few 15+ scores

I know it shouldn't be mentioned but, have you not noticed how far off the pace he is?

He beat Barcia moto 1 and finished 4 seconds off of him moto 2.... Why do people here act like riding aggressive and bouncing off the rev limiter = fast?

We’re talking about a guy who’s been retired for 5 years not being on pace … kinda laughable.

Frankly , the guys he’s beating week in and week out should be embarrassed.

No, he’s not the right fit for the team on a small bike ….But to think Barcia could hold a candle to the worlds top…10-15 on a 250f is nuts.

Right now my vote is for Craig on the 250. As they said in the broadcast, Craig WANTS to do it. He has speed, stays upright and WANTS the spot. Let him have it.

Dark Horse….Let’s see what J-Mart is like the last few rounds. If there was anyone born to ride a 250 outdoors, it’s J-Mart. Dude has been awesome in the class for years.

It doesn't, but neither does finishing over a minute off the leaders! And that's why neither one should be in the conversation as the third rider!
