Man it’s refreshing to hear these guys say they want to go. (This year) Let Anderson do it. Let’s be honest, Cooper is not riding great. ET, Sexton, and Anderson can get it done, and I think they would work together to make sure of it.
Bingo! There seems to be a solid fighting spirit starting to build around the entire event coming from our guys. It seems that, not only are we getting tired of not being able to get the job done, but guys are now happily, and willing to, step down just like the glory days when I was a young ripper watching the best hop on any machine available just to kick the worlds ass Whatever has kicked in, beside the fact the race is at home this year, seems to be gaining strength. Our men want to prove our once domination was never a fluke...... The time has come to prove it now, and they are ready. Put Uncle Sam's boots in their asses fellas.

Yeah because they don't have to travel to Europe and be out of their comfort zone.

Anderson should get the shot for the fact he has never turned it down when called upon.

The 250 rider is going to need to be aggressive and pass people since their unlikely to get a great start against the 450's. Jason has clearly shown that he can come from the back and charge to the front. Barcia is gritty as well but more likely to defend a position than charge through the pack.Cooper rely's on his starts which is a questionable strategy in this race with the big bikes lined up. Jason won a moto last time he raced the MXON. Sign the savage up! Win or lose that mofo will represent with every ounce of his being. I will take him or Barcia over Cooper all damn day

I feel like there would probably be complications for Anderson to ride a 250 since he rides for Factory Kawasaki and not Pro Circuit/Monster Kawasaki. Can’t see factory Kawasaki developing their own 250 for a one off event.

Barcia to a GasGas 250 would probably be an easier sell since his team has both a 250 and 450 program but I doubt the AMA is willing to drop a 450 rider down.
I don’t think it’d be that big of a deal. Remember when RC dropped down to a 125 at steel city and rode a PC bike

That would be cool, I was also thinking if Kawi says no that they see if they can get Craig to ride a 250, since he just won a title this year and it might be easier for star to send two bikes.

This is the best possible news for team USA; a Tomac, Sexton and Anderson (250) team is your 3 fastest riders.

Anderson has shown repeatedly that he can work through the pack efficiently, as your need to do on a 250 at MXdN, plus he should be rewarded for his past team efforts when others chose not to go.

Whoever gets the nod, having two 450 guys willing to drop down, and two current 250 riders (RJ & Cooper) who you know wouldn't turn down the invitation is definitely a good problem for Roger/Team USA management to have. This is probably the best chance we have to win in a long time.

Edited to add: mxb2, did your post make sense in your head?

How about the guy that deserved to go last year on the 250 ? They guy that was hurt this year and has battled back to get up to speed. Yes RJ Hampshire would be my choice.

One of Mitch's bikes with factory graphics would fix that.

Can’t believe most of you want Sexton to be on a 450 for the team over Jason, Jason actually has a moto win at the event on a 450. Guess y’all forgot? Putting Sexton on a 250 and have Tomac and Ando on the 450 makes a lot more sense.
