Going on a day trip tomorrow with my dad down to Perris, CA from the SFV area. We were thinking of spending the night after afternoon practice tomorrow night. Does anyone know of a safe place to stay with the bikes around the Riverside/Perris area? Preferably with underground or valet parking?

I don't know of anything close to Perris. I stayed at this place near Pala. It's the old Desi Arnez Desert Inn. I paid $54 a night. I've paid $500 for places that couldn't touch this place. Absolutely brilliant. It's about 1.5 hours from Perris but you will not regret it. They recently had a big tennis tournament there. No bums or derelicts in sight...high zoot area.

That's down South the opposite way of home! If it was closer to LA it would be perfect. Thanks for the recommendation though.

Not really sure there is a good place to stay with bikes anymore, especially in So Cal. I know it can be a bit of a drive on a week night after a night practice, but safest bet is driving home.

In So Cal, you bring the bikes into the room with you.

If it were me, I would drink a couple Red Bulls and drive back home.

I'd stay in Temecula at Pechanga and valet your truck. At least then it'll be in a locked parking garage.

Stayed on the main drag innpalm springs just before covid. Brand new 350 and my favorite bike of all time 09 yz450 stolen out of a locked up trailer.

Sounds like the best bet. Seems like a bit of a sketchy area down there just like the rest of SoCal.

Not the best, but not the worst. Was just down there Sunday for the first time in about 10 1/2 years. The almost 2 hour drive home was worth the peace of mind that the bikes were safely in the garage

Near Pala? This is in Indian Wells, roughly 90 minutes or so from Perris.

It’s a great suggestion, but that just ain’t close

In that context that’s fair enough….did you get hit by any balls laying out at that pool? The 10th green of the Indian Wells celebrity course is about 15 feet away….and I’ve thinned a few right over the umbrellas 😂

I grew up there and got the hell out in my mid 30’s. It’s a hot sandy shithole and now it’s infiltrated with something else that makes it more of a shithole. The one positive is we had a high school motocross team for 4 years and once a year we were able to build a track in the football field after their season ended. Indian Wells is a solid half hour beyond PS so it’s a helluva drive from Perris. Plus it’s around 110 this time of the year.

Look around Temecula or Murrieta, see if you can call directly and ask about security.

My family and I Live in La Quinta….everytime we have family/friends out they ask to go to Palm Springs.

I all but refuse - other than the allure perpetuated by the media and social influencers, that town is horrible.

But back to the OP’s question; if you don’t mind driving 30ish minutes, stay in Temecula. Gorgeous area

Get an AirBnB in Canyon Lake. 24hr security gated community with a lake and golf course. About 10 min from Perris, and way safer than anywhere close by the track.

There’s some hotels in Moreno Valley about 15-20 min away. 80-100 a night. Bring the bikes inside! I’m also about a hour from the track in Huntington Beach.. idk how far your traveling but I have two extra rooms.

Oops just noticed sfv area… not that far, Moreno Valley or head home. What’s it take about 2 hours?

Rode there last night. Ended up driving home after a late night. It was ripped pretty deep but later in the night, it got better and more lines developed. There were a few pros out there too. Fun riding under the lights.
