It will never cease to amaze me how lifetime MX guys still don’t know this. It seemed pretty obvious during the second moto that Jo had a chance for 3rd which would give him the overall and it took Wedge and RC far to long to realize this. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one that noticed this.

Joe went 1-3, which also beats a 2-2 in Pro MX.

I noticed that too. I realized he would win with a 1-3 about five minutes before they did.

In amateur racing, a 2-2 beats a 1-3. Best second moto wins in a tie.

You have to remember that we are dealing with people that let you watch 2 hours of racing and then show you a track preview.

I mean how would RC know, that mf only finished 1-1 in his career. 😂

But yeah was for sure funny how both were surprised about that. Was the same at Thunder Valley, took Weege until the last two laps to figure out the potential overall. :D

RC was too busy saying “inside/outside”. It must be subliminal because towards the end I noticed Weege even using the saying…

Weege is busy carrying the show.

And the track preview is about 10 sec.

They've been using points total for the day for a long time now I think. You would think that RC and Weege would know this by now or at the very least someone in the production truck would at least whisper it into their headphones? Were any of the motos 4 or 5 minutes extra long yesterday? Wink

In my mind they were making a big deal about Jo getting into 3rd for the O/A, not that 1-3 beats a 2-2.

That was really annoying. As soon as Jo went down I had it in my head that if Jett passed Hunter and Jo managed to get to 3rd he would have the overall. Don't know why it took either of them so long to figure that out

thought it would go by last moto if scores were tied, so 2-2 should beat 1-3

#1 = 25 points
#2 = 22 points
#3 = 20 points

2-2 = 22 + 22 = 44 points.

1-3 = 25 + 20 = 45 points.

Really can't be that hard at this point. :D

What's unreal is next year they'll still be unsure about the OA since it is like this every season.

What was truly shocking was the fact ET3 didn't seem to realize during or after the race his 1-3 would have beaten Kenny's 2-2 at Thunder Valley

I always get a kick out of whenever a two rider battle is going on, the rider trying to make a pass takes a different line than the lead rider but is a clear 5-6 bikelengths behind and has no chance at a pass, and Weigandt is yelling "GREAT DRIVE UP THE INSIDE, WILL HE GET HIM HERE". Or after someone with a clearly better pace passes somebody else and he goes "will he mount a comeback??" as he's already been gapped out 3 seconds after 2 corners.

It will never cease to amaze me how we had four great motos of racing and y’all still bitch about one small on tv. I think it’s easy to get lost in everything going on at times. Especially when Jo was so far back at the start of the race, it didn’t seem possible. Even he was shocked. I thought it was a good exciting tv moment

I think it’s fair to complain that the professionals paid to call the race don’t know who is leading..

Agree especially when the OA tabulation is so easy if you have the points breakdown, pen and a scratch pad. "It ain't rocket science."

Never seen it scored that way before. Better moto finishes break a tie?

What organization, couldn't have been a CMC race?

never seen it scored that way either. They either mis-scored the race, or went by some other scoring system.

By exactly how many seconds did their indecisiveness distress you?

Such a traumatic experience..🙄
No one is losing sleep over this but it the same deal every year. They need to change to Olympic scoring or give the announcers the point break down and a dry board. "It ain't rocket science"
