Finding his flow only 3 motos into the season could be trouble for everyone. Sexton kept him honest though and made a real run at him at the end

He lost another point to Chase over the weekend... let's hold off on this discussion until he makes up some points on the championship leader.

Eh, I think the team still have some bike work to do by the sound of things. Eli also mentioned that he isn't able to grip as the bike as strong as he would like and charge into the rough stuff hard because of his knee. With that said, if his knee strengthens and he can charge like he wants I think we will see him on a roll similar to SX and close that gap quickly.

Tomac was his old self today. The pack should be worried when that happens. Running down Sexton and passing him. Dayam.....

So far the 3, 23, 21 are on a higher speed level than everyone else.
And yet they all three are talking about "still figuring it out"

Though Anderson looked a bit more spent than the other two when it was all over.

During the Race Broc mentioned a conversation he had with Eli about his knee injury. ET3 told him the knee injury kept him from holding onto the gas tank.

Sure looks like the knee injury is behind him and he finally has his outdoor suspension settings dialed.

Tomac's best lap was 1/2 second faster than Sextons and both were running consistently in the 2:11's at the end of the race.

Still way early in the series with 20 moto's left to run

1- 23 Chase Sexton HON CRF450R WE 94 points
2- 94 Ken Roczen HON CRF450R WE 82 points -12
3- 21 Jason Anderson KAW KX450SR 76 points -18
4- 3 Eli Tomac YAM YZ 450F 75 points -19

Win win for us fans

Was baffled when he said “I can’t charge as hard as I’d like to” after watching that second moto charge 😳

Don’t think the fact he has done 3 times in a row and coming off a dominate supercross season might hold some weight ?

He rode well in the 2nd moto but it was far from his beast mode level in my opinion.

Keep in mind it’s mx not sx. 25 points to win a moto. So 50 points for a 1-1 day. 19 is nothing with so many motos left.

Agreed it was good but far from his peak.

It’s Eli’s or Anderson if history holds. All to often team Honda takes themselves out by the halfway point of a season. Maybe Sexton can change that? And Dungey is a great wildcard bet, he could easily outlast everyone else.

Unfortunately history usually repeats itself AKA Anderson and Sexton will crash out a couple motos and Roczen will start struggling halfway through and fade, and boom Tomac Championship on lock.

Maybe it’s because he’s the most successful outdoor rider currently racing and the fact that he just beat them all in Supercross.

2022 Supercross and 2022 outdoor results are freakishly similar, so far.
Watch out for that Tomac train!

I agree on Sexton. He's going to lawndart himself again before the season is over.

Anderson, he's most like to have his Kawi shit the bed.

Ken is already fading.

I'm not a Tomac fan boi....but he's looking like he's going on another tear now and i'm rooting for him.

I only wish Ferrandis had not injured himself...would have loved to see Dylan and Eli battle outdoors.

Most succesful outdoor rider currently racing?

Isn't there the #2 all-time winner in AMA and the #1 all-time GP winner out there?

You got me there. I was thinking of contenders and people who battled for the SX championship.

I don't think that Anderson crashing had anything to do with him losing the SX title. Tomac was just better when it counted. I've said it before but if Tomac doesn't jack up his knee in Atlanta, Anderson doesn't go on a tear at the end. Both of these points are "what ifs" so there's that.
