Upstanding people share their experience with others, but also let others decide for themselves their purchase..

And they are still developing all kinds of awesome bikes like EFI 2 strokes, 350s, ebikes. They aren’t just out here pledging to go all electric by 2035 or making pianos on the side.

I think Nick romano was joking around.
I would think if your offered to test the bike u are being given the option to take a contract. Riding the bike is to make sure the rider is happy. And you earn the offer to test it by your results
No idea on how Star operates,, but wasnt it just last year Pro Circuit had a bunch of guys riding the bike competing to get fill in rides before outdoors? In that case an opportunity to ride the bike wasnt just a courtesy to riders being offered a contract it was an actual try out.

Yamaha would likely prefer if you referred to their in-writing 30 day YZ/YZF warranty as a warranty.

KTM/Husky/GasGas don't have a written warranty on their race bikes. Some have had fantastic results with their customer service acting as a warranty (and others have not had a pleasant experience), but only the Blu Crew puts it in writing.

Got to give credit where credit is due.

My speculation is that since he posted about it today and talking about getting back to work that he’s getting the ride.

If he rode it last week and knew he wasn’t getting the ride why would he put it out there like that?

When I bought the 2015.5 Factory Edition 250, I got a warranty document in writing from KTM and actually got them to pay for a new shock spring years later when it broke due to defective materials.

If you approached KTM you did the way you do most people on here I fully understand you didn’t receive any support from them

It's simple: Matthes will return wrenching for Evan Ferry together with Tim. They let Evan ride the Star factory bike for reference so Evan can give directions to Steve. Tim will be there to make sure Steve stays because of their unconditional bromance.

I stand corrected. The Austrian group does indeed have a 30 day warranty on their competition models. I should have verified this before posting.

So he was puking all over from like a heat stroke and didn’t get the ride? I’d think they’d factor in weather conditions if he’s from a different geographical area. Take Anderson for instance, grew up in New Mexico and gets altitude sickness in Colorado. I would think it was something more to do with raw speed or maybe technique?

Evan lives and trains in Florida, I don’t think the environment was a factor maybe the intensity trying to keep up with Star 250 boys was.

Yamaha comes with a 30 day warranty. Within a week should for sure be covered.

A little skepital about your info because if he rode the bike a week ago and didn't make the team why would he post the video? Many riders tryout for teams but you never hear about it unless they actually end up getting the ride....

For what it's worth on the warranty issue, I had a KTM 1190 adventure that was heartache, with lots of issues. I took my problems all the way to KTM North America's national service manager. He told me, paraphrasing, " I ride an 1190 adventurer, and nothing is wrong with it. So nothing should be wrong with yours.". They never made the bike right and I sold it at a huge loss within 18 months of new purchase. I still ride KTM/Husky dirt bikes, but will never own another of their street bikes. I understand most dirt bikes are virtually unwarranted, but most street bikes have pretty good support-except KTM. It's a company culture thing from my experience, like they expect owners to solve their machines manufacturing issues. Like on their dirt bikes, leaking gas caps, bad countershaft seals, 4cs forks, busting kickstand bolts, etc., they expected owners to fix this stuff.

For those wanting to discuss bike warranties, why not create a new thread about that subject? The subject line of this thread is about Evan Ferry.

Looks like Romano will go Pro this weekend. Maybe they will have Deegan move up to A class and bring in Ferry to race B.

Is there a 30 day warranty associated with going pro if you have any problems?

I think it's too late to change classes, at least for LL's. Plus they already have LeBlanc in the A class. My guess is Ferry races the limited B classes and Deegan does 250B and Schoolboy 2.
