KTM customer service has been incredibly helpful on every aspect, in my opinion. I’ve been very impressed with their engineering and customer service, they must know who you are ?

The two strokes we rode were pre production units (Maybe PP4-5) and the FI was not finalized yet. The 250 I rode was a little lean on top end, but the 300 was amazing and I am not a huge fan of two strokes. The 300 was the most fun for me to ride at Red Bud!

TBI pulls on top; certainly better than I expected after lots of time on the 300TPI and hearing that final ECU settings are ongoing with upcoming tests in SoCal later this Summer (with 91/Ethanol gas over the 93/clean? we had today). Still at 60:1 for 250/300 and 40:1 for that little Ripper Fun25!

The new 125 will be more than competitive with current models. Unsure on final ECU settings until production bikes actually hit dealerships, but at Red Bud it basically rode like my personal 15-hour 19’ 150SX with AJ/Digger jetting specs from the Tech Help thread...But with no loss up top or when over-revved. Austrian techs claim an HGS or FMF pipe/silencer give it even more way up there. KTM media department claims it’s the torquiest Fun25 engine they’ve ever produced (and I believe it).

Seriously better than I expected it to be for even a pre-pro Stateside setting.

Previous Austrian small-bore owners will notice a little weight gain, but it only increased stability when coupled with the new chassis. Consider me IMPRESSED. First rider off the track who I got to speak with about the TBI 125 was AK71, who’s recently off 125’s and currently races 250F’s; he had the biggest sh*t eating grin on his face coming in from a moto on it!
I was wondering how it compared to the current 150. I was hoping there was no 150 because the new 125 was close.

This was the exact response I received from KTM! Haha no plans for a 150 kit in the immediate future, but the engineers didn't rule it out down the road. The 125 will be very popular in Europe where they continue to have classes for them, and with leaner production runs, will probably all be spoken for relatively quickly stateside as well. The 125's even got their own frame; one for the Fun25's, one for 250/300 two smokes, and one for 250/350/450 four smokes...

KTM/Austria group will continue investing in these bikes, and I greatly appreciate it.

What I want to know is when can the demo days come back? We are going to be buying a 125 for my son but I'd like a demo day and that nice $500 incentive they usually hand out.

I noticed on the 350 test they talked about the gearing on the spec sheet for 23 it says 1452 but the test rider says it was a 51. If the spec sheet is right that would explain the abrupt power in map 2.

I thought it was fantastic that there was no embargo on content being released from the media day on the new Kato's. When are we gonna see the Racer X content from the day? I assume the Keefer Tested review will be next week?

The pre proto test are good, you have our attention… but the test/ reviews of the real production bikes is what is most relevant ….

As with most OEM launches, we’re not provided with a dyno chart and we don’t have one in hand to dyno. The two strokes that were ridden weren’t final production bikes either.

Red Bud unique and great place to test. Too bad it was windy I see the American Flag moving pretty good. Dries the top 3-4 inches of sand out fast.

Can anyone who has ridden the new 125sx comment on the midrange?? Really thought I was missing out with the 150sx over the 125 (heard it had more overrev). Rode my buddies 125sx last weekend and really missed the midrange hit. Almost got myself in trouble a couple of times trying to pick the front end up to get over bumps and the hit just wasn't there. Seems like a few people have said the 125 has a bit more midrange power now. Bike looks and sounds incredible!
