It's going to be weird if Dungey comes off the couch and beats Kenny
Straight up speed, moto for moto at Pala? I'd put $1000 on Kenny.

For all 12 rounds? I'd put my house on Dungey.

Posting stuff like this seems like the opposite of what he needs. Coming back humble saying he's been having a hard time with his physical and mental health but is going to give it his best would be a more healthy and appropriate response. Reminds me of a girl trying to prove to her ex she's still awesome or something idk.

True true....also that orange fender might give him flashbacks. Poor Kenny.

I think his Instagram post was TERRIBLE, and his attitude toward racing is frustrating, but I REALLY hope he comes out swinging and can go the whole series.

If he's actually back to 2016 Kenny, we could have some epic races this summer.

I don’t think it’s about the fans at all.
I think it’s aimed toward the industry, his sponsors and employers.

I reckon he’s just signed a good deal with another brand for 2023 and is ready to have one last push.

Don’t be surprised to see him do f*ck all impressive on that Honda this summer and come out swinging in new gear on a new bike at A1.

In supercross it was bike setup that caused him to fade away. Did they order new triple clamps for outdoors?

Surely he had the same bike set-up he used successfully in 2021?

Or are we blaming how the whoops are built differently this year again??

I heard he's going to skip the suit in favour of bringing back the Super Mario outfit, so that'll be something to look forward to 👍

I hope he does well and hope he gets through the season healthy, but it's gonna be a tough one, can't wait to watch it.

Everyone here; “ I wish riders would say what they really think”.
Rider says what they really think.
Everyone here; “fuck that dude”.

You don’t have to like what they say, don’t even have to understand why they said it, but this sport is way better when riders aren’t scared to say what they think. Read the previous five pages and you can see why most don’t say anything other than predictable boring comments. Let’s appreciate that for a moment?

I’ve tried to like KR. He’s without a doubt a bad dude on a bike, but his constant excuses when things didn’t go his way I could never get past. Almost like he was weak mentally. I don’t even know what to think about this rant. Almost like someone else stated, he’s trying to pump himself up? Maybe his ego can’t handle the fact he’s not top dog anymore. It’s definitely weird. Social media definitely has its downsides.

yeesh. that's sad to read.
someone take the phone away from Kenny. He'll forever go down as a pretty mentally fragile guy.

Uhhh, a completely different version of that sees fans and industry-folk saying what they really think (that the best years of Ken as a racer are in the past), and Ken being the one to say "F that, F you." The honesty stung HIS ego, not the other way around. I don't think anyone here is saying "F that dude." The general reaction is more "odd flex, Ken. Now prove us wrong."

My prediction is that we'll see exactly what we've seen the past couple of years: and insanely fast Ken that fades - this applies both to individual races and the season as a whole. Again, prove us wrong.

Gay. Drama queen. These guys are the most badass humans on the planet but it's funny to see how many insecurities they have. The social media takes away a lot of the mystery behind the eyes of these guys and breaks them down to regular humans. Back in the day.....RJ would just show up and let the riding do the talking.

BTW...i'm just being a cynical old man. I still can't believe that he's still racing after the arm injury.

It is worthwhile to note that just because they can hit massive jumps and are some of the strongest athletes in the world, does not immediately qualify them to be confident around other people. Actually a lot of very talented people in the world, aren’t extroverted.

This is how this goes…

Kenny wins round 1, maybe even round 2…but as soon as he doesn’t win, the wheels come off…and keep going until he drops out…he only knows how to do ‘alpha dog’ shit…not hero shit like dungey used to, like Webb has done in sx several times…he only knows win or fail…tough life to live…

look at the history. It doesn’t lie, you can downvote it all you want but that’s doesn’t make it untrue.
What hero shit has Dungey done? Only time I can remember is that one time at Southwick his bike wouldn't start then rode like hell to...

Tomac and Stew on the other hand...
If you don’t know then it’s past your bedtime…

I disagree.

We all love riders speaking their real mind/personality. Lashing out at "imaginary" haters isn't a good look. Sure, he has some haters, every rider does. But I would wager the majority of fans are Ken fans.

The post by Ken was poorly executed and reeks of insecurity. It's a pattern with him. Same thing happened with his Webb altercations in 21. Cringe moments for sure.

Again...I'm a fan of Ken. Huge respect for what he's been thru (injuries etc) and his level of talent. He just needs to think shit thru before opening his mouth.

Very true. i think to be the best you have to be a little OCD about things. It's just having such close contact with fans can have a negative effect if things aren't properly construed. Ken is a total badass. He's a bad dude on a bike. I'll be his fitness is insane. But....he's also got a little bit of school girl in him like we all do.

Right, because social media was happening when RJ was racing. Is RJ on social media now? Yep, multiple platforms.

You hit the nail on the head. 6 pages of people mostly crapping on Ken, voicing their thoughts, opinions, emotions, but Kenny be damned if he does the same. We are fickle bunch of fans.

This just in, at age 29 Tomac and Anderson won 7 races each and dominated SX this season. Try again.

Agreed and he also doesn't share what is actually going on. During the & races in SLC for 7 rounds he had all kinds of issues including mono and then somehow won a race 2 days later and was fine. This year he supposedly had Covid and then raced 7 days later....how did he get a negative test with less than a week between races since he also shared he could not get vaccinated because of health issues.

Dude's a hypochondriac that makes all kinds of reasons in his own head as to why he cannot succeed. he is either sick or blames the same equipment is he was successful on previously etc. His talent is an entirely different issue and clearly incredible, but I know firsthand how mental strength is much more important than talent or physical strength......and he just doesn't have that.
