So no mav TV on firestick. Had to deal with this when it was on NBC too. Hopeful there is a workaround. I’ve not been this excited to watch nationals in years. But yet I’m finding it harder and harder to justify paying for these lackluster services.

Mavtvplus supported devices. Far from all. I'll need to use my roku because there is no Samsung tv app (casting has been laggy for live events on Samsung in my experience).

Yes, but not live on the app that you’re paying $7/month for.

any news on how fast replays will be up? Typically I am busy doing stuff during day (riding hopefully) and will watch these replays into the evening with some pints.

SportGold and Peacock were really good in that regard and I expect same.

If they can't give answers on what the stream will be like, I doubt they'll have answers for how fast the replay will be up.

To extend this question, any idea if tuning in late you can rewind the live feed rather than having to wait until it’s finished and re-upped as replay as you were able to with Peacock?

Just as long as they didn't hire Chris Bond (Bondo) to produce the series.

It's a shame they can't find someone better. He's so frustrating when he breaks away from the racing action to show some interview that should've happened between races. Or he follows around the 10th place rider when action is happening up front (Yes, we hear the crowd going wild.), he needs to learn to use the split screen more.

If you read this DC, please have a talk with this guy.

It says it's LIVE coverage and delayed coverage on the streaming service. The ONE streaming service. If you are watching via "TV" package, yeah you will have to record two separate channels. Pretty much how it's been for years now.

The fact yearly is more expensive than monthly is odd though.
yes, but you cant watch it LIVE all on one service. By the sounds of if, the races scheduled to be on NBC will not be LIVE on Mavtv plus, only tape delayed.

And hey, make sure every camera zooms in so tight we can see only one rider. We don’t need to see the track, the competition, or feel any sense of speed.Blink

I've read it both ways, which in and of itself is not a good sign....it seems even they don't know for sure.

This is the best feature ever.
I hate missing a race and have to wait and trying to not see a spoiler.
I love being able to turn on the sx and mx late. Watch the races. Fast-forward thru the crap. Pause it between races go and do something for 30 mins and be able to come back fast forward to the start of the next race and not miss a moment on action with out the risk of a spoiler.

Search for MavTv plus, its there. i bought the annual subscription along with using the discount code from the RacerX press release and downloaded the app on my firestick last night. Go to settings after you launch the app and login using the email and password you set up when you buy the subscription.

I did a little looking, has outdoor seasons to watch back as far as 2014. Didn't see if it was every moto, but theres a decent archive nonetheless.

Commercials didn't seem to be a problem for the series when it aired on NBC Sports/Peacock and previously on Alli Sports.

Wonder what changed?
That'$ a my$tery that will go un$olved for year$.

Look, I am glad that all the races will be broadcast live, and I have been following the sport long enough to remember when we had to wait for Cycle News to get the results. I am a bit chafed about this whole no commercials / Picture in Picture deal though. Isn’t the whole point of having a subscription-based service, a way of making money directly from the consumer? Thereby negating the need for sponsor ads. Obviously MavTV wants to make money, and so they sell commercials. In that scenario, TV is “free” for the end consumer, as the company is paid by selling commercial spots. Now the company sells commercial spots, and charges the end consumer for the streaming service, that seems like double dipping to me. It’s like these broadcast companies just keep pushing to see what amount they can charge for what you used to get for free.

If they can’t make enough money any other way, why not offer a “commercial free tier”? I am sure there are those who would pay for the commercial free option, and maybe even pull some of those who will otherwise watch the feed provided by their cable company. It just seems like we keep going backwards with these broadcasts.

So just to clarify, with MAVTVPlus, you get every single moto live? Even the NBC broadcast ones?

Nobody knows. The press release says we get a tape delay for the motos on NBC, but that’s such a crappy move on their part that I’ll believe it when I see it.

“For streaming and mobile viewers, subscribers to MAVTV Plus will receive live coverage of the motos that air on MAVTV in addition to tape-delayed coverage of the motos scheduled to air on NBC.”

In my opinion, DC’s lack of engagement on here tells us all we need to know. He was here early on in the MAVTV switch, but has been silent for some time. Wouldn’t take much to jump in with a little info and put all these concerns to rest. That’s telling me we’re getting downgraded coverage and he doesn’t want to take the heat for it.

As long as I can watch them on replay, I'm good with the deal. That way I can FF thru the bullshit/blather and just watch the racing.

I know it was discussed in other threads for the plans.... $99 for the year (I'm not opting for this because as soon as MX is over, I will cancel)....or $6.99 a month. It was mentioned previously that the $6.99 was a limited deal....but it doesn't say it in the announcement above. So the monthly is still cheaper than a yearly if you plan to keep the service. It also is misleading with the discount code....buying a monthly subscription...that discount code is invalid.

You lost me at "free"...MavTV was never and will never be free, the only "free" tv that you can receive is through rabbit ears...as far as double dipping the races are available two ways 1) If your cable provider has MavTV the races will be shown on there exactly as they will be shown on MavTV Plus so unless you want to watch qualifying there is no need to purchase MavTV Plus...if your cable provider doesn't have MavTV then luckily MavTV Plus is an option at $7 a month which is not a double dip because you didn't have it in the first place...

So you want a discount on the discount....

It appears that's not going to happen.

Someone posted this in the other thread to add more confusion to this mess.

I was waiting for someone to point that out. But here’s the thing, MAVTV is part of my basic Sattrllite package. I don’t ask for it, I don’t pay extra, but yes I understand that some small part of my bill goes to MAVTV as payment. See I can watch without paying any extra. In the past I didn’t mind paying the fee to Peacock, because besides watching Qualifying, and Commercial free MX, there was extra content that I could sometimes watch. Now if I want to watch qualifying, I have to purchase a subscription to MAVTV, and I will get Motos with Picture In picture, and no extra content. I can fully understand where you are coming from, but if you can’t see this as a step backwards in terms of coverage then I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. Again I’d gladly pay for MAVTV streaming if it had a commercial free option. Just out of curiosity, why was MAVTV able to to meet sponsor obligations and show commercial free TV last year, but not this year?
