It’s his knee and his career so it’s his choice. Get over it.

"Is Fernandez not the favorite?"

Yes, he is, but because he's French and/or few American fans' favorite rider, they pretend that last year never happened.

He was a monster last year, and if he's healthy, he's likely to win it all again this time.

I've got to type in "Fernandis" at least 3 times into my phone before the damn auto-correct will accept it...otherwise it comes out "Fernandez"

And with that said, stop all discussion, end thread, close down the forum, cancel our internet subscriptions and dont dare speak to anyone. Ever.

Brilliant.

Why don’t you change your user-name to ‘Mr.Stifle’ ?

Issue is that he could re-injure it again. One bad dab or tweak and you're "done".

Lets hope it wont be the case for Tomac and he can race competitively the outdoors!

Wow! Would that apply to any 450 round winner?

But how much money would he lose this summer if he makes it even worse?

I think those are normally 4-6 week recovery without surgery. If it is anything that will heal with rest he is being smart.

I doubt the bonus for riding around in 6th place is worth the delay in recovery that would keep him from getting bonuses racing outdoors.

Why would he push to win a meaningless race in a Championship that he's already won? Even if he raced, I highly doubt he hangs it out there for the win anyways, so the money thing is a non-factor, for 1 round.

I really hope he can be pretty close to 100% and stay healthy for the summer. Not only for MX Nationals, but for MXON.

I’d say Tomac and Poodle Jesus are 1a and 1b considering tomacs track record outdoors and how he’s been performing on the blue bullet

You are out of your mind.

Bummer to hear about mcl. Hopefully he can gut it out.

A complete mcl tear doesn’t heal its self. most people just deal with it.

The only way he doesn't get top 5 is if he has a serious injury or doesn't line up.

The manufacturer bonus applies to all riders, I believe. But every rider has their own deals with sponsors as far as bonuses. Purse money is small, I can’t remember where that is now, but it’s bad for a professional sport.

It’s odd how many people forget how good he was last year. He’s definitely underrated by a lot of people, but he’ll be on the podium most rounds, unless he crashed out or develops an injury.

His last 3 outdoor seasons he has finished off the podium 6 times. Last year he never missed the podium once and the year before on 250's he missed it 1 time.

He's never finished worse than 4th place in the last 3 years.

He's for sure underrated.

That’s Dungey type stats, no denying that he should be a title threat again !

That’s the thing about Dylan and outdoors. He marches forward until the checker flag flies so that extra 12 minutes per Moto versus a SX main make all the difference. Most guys are just trying to make it to the end and DF is charging still.

Wonder how much he'd stand to lose if he rides...and destroys a knee leading into the Outdoors.

Think about Star Yamaha as a whole. They let Dylan take the time off to heal up and no doubt test while Eli secured the title. Eli has a knee injury and secures the title now he rests and does outdoor testing to be fully prepared. Smart moves on both riders part.

Isnt SLC a day race? Depending on the conditions, I reckon we will see the same thing again. Dusty one lined track.

I am happy hes giving the knee a break. So he can shred the outdoors
