Forgive me if this has already been discussed but what new 250s are we expecting in 2023 other than KTM and Husqvarna?

With new Kawi and Yamaha 450s coming is there any chatter about their respective 250 offerings in 2023? @ML512 I'm shinning the bat beacon 9ver Gotham for you 😂

New Yamaha 450 and Kawi 450 some time this summer. August-ish?

GASGAS TLD Edition 450 and 250 in early 2023 will be new to match the current KTM and Husky that just came out.

So no new RMZ?

Curious if the new YZ already has the electronic steering damper.

Haha, a new RMZ is as likely to happen as an new Maico or Bultaco!

I was hopeful
It will come down to the new Kx450 or Yz for me.
Grabbed a 22 YZ250 so a couple blue bikes wouldn’t be bad.

I might get a 2023 even if it’s the same bike, just to blow my friends mind.

Put your old bikes plastics on it and see how long it takes for them to notice.

You had said there was a new Suzuki 450 coming in 2022. Is this still the case?

The 2021 is the one to get, if you can still find one. That '1' at the end of the model year has the least ink, so it is the lightest of the recent models.

If someone could convince the powers that be at KTM to do a 23.5 Red Bull "Vet" Edition 350, that would be pretty cool!

MX/SX would be drab without a Zook.....so much history.

Almost always Yamaha's all new 250 has come the year after the all new 450. There should be an all new 450 this coming year (2023) so the 250 should be all new in '24

Actually 2018 was one of the first years Yamaha didn’t update both at the same time.

2006 - both got all new aluminum frames
2010 - both were “all new” even though the 250 didn’t get EFI
2014 - both were all new

That being said they seemed to have fallen into the same release schedule as the other MFGs with 250s following the year after 450s

The 2010 250f didn’t have the backwards motor and airbox up top. The 450 did.

Right but he's saying that both were all new platforms from the 09 year. It's just the '10 450 had the backwards head, efi etc and the 250 didn't. But it was still an all-new bike in 2010.

It was still an updated model, however. (Bodywork, engine parts but no injection.)

The 2010-2013 YZ250F was a fantastic bike. Even if it still had a carburetor. The suspension and handling on those were top notch with a bulletproof engine. If I found a good deal on a nice low hour one, I’d probably buy it.

When I traded in my 2009 rmz for a 2015 rmz, the Ole lady walked in the garage and said.. I thought you were getting a new bike.

I don’t think he said in 2022. I believe he just said there is a new version in the works and IIRC the timeline was for 2023.

I agree. Great chassis. I loved mine. I had a GYTR engine and with that, the bike was fantastic. Wish I still had it.

If I remember correctly it was that HEP would have a new bike to race in 2023.

I had a 2011 and I thought it was a great bike. Engine wasn't the fastest but it felt super slim, nimble, and had great suspension.

Any chance he is saying that to help sell the remaining 22 models?
