All depends how rj races. Rj really stood up last week. Before that I wouldn't have been surprised to see him 8th or below in the shoot out. His results have been 5, 16, 7, 4, 3, 1. Add the west and not many times has he been inside the top 8.
Before last week I would not have been surprised if the results were something like
1or2 jett and Craig, 3 ,4 mosi and Hunter, 5 shimoda. Forkner is ment to be back. That could mean rj is battling forkner, brown, marchbanks, thrasher for 6,7,8,9.
It should be interesting 1 rj mistake and jett could clinch. 1 big jett mistake and it could be wide open.
Same for Craig
If Jett wins he needs RJ to finish 8th or lower. I'd say RJ is 4-6 but he does crash in almost every single race - even last weekend when he won he went down hard in one of the mains.

Jett and Christian may not get into a bar banging brawl but I'm willing to bet that if they are up front together each one of them will want the W.

Old age and experience has won this round so far. Can't wait to see how this shakes out.

Craig beat Jett, but more impressive was Hunter. What a beastly ride.

My guess…

Craig wins. Jett has a terrible night.

Craig will ride just like he has all year, confident, good consistent starts and will ride mistake free; faster than 20 other guys on the track. Jett will be blazing fast and make mistakes, causing a 3-7 finish.
This aged well.

This. So very much this. Jett seems like a great kid, fun personality, and obviously crazy talented. The broadcast team makes it virtually impossible for me to root for him. No joke, my first thought when Hunter crashed yesterday was that if it was Jett that had crashed the broadcast team would have jumped out onto the track with blankets and hot cocoa to comfort him while writing up an interview where they could call Jett a warrior, gladiator, or some other manufactured nonsense while Wil or whoever has to fight back tears in the interview. They would then replay that crash for the rest of his career to highlight how amazing Jett and only Jett is. They did it with Kenny and basically every racer that comes to the US besides French riders. It’s just so obvious every time they do it and it always works. Take a kid that was gonna be a star anyways and force them down our throats. Again, I like Jett. He’s done nothing but be himself and be talented as hell. Not a knock on him.

After watching the post race press conference
One thing is clear.
Craig is in serious need of a personality.
He's as dull as the backside of a butter knife.

The Hunter brothers are young, talented, full of enthusiasm.
And have yet to be toned down by years of boring, sponsor speak.

Of course they're going to be magnets for the media.(it is indeed a bit much, but it's in keeping with this intense desire to have a jeff gordon type in order to bring in these, non existent, new fans.)
At least they back it up with their riding.

Craig comes off pretty smug to me

Jett had the speed…. He’s just prone to small mistakes that make winning every week a little more difficult. A few more laps and he comes from like 15th to win that…

Or a few more laps and he crashes again and finishes 7th....

I’d had my head waaay up my ass about Hunter. Didn’t understand WTF Honda was thinking when they signed him.

I was such and UN-INFORMED fool.

Those brothers are All That Is Right & Correct in Moto.

I hope they continue to kick ass…
Together.

This is why they shouldn't wait until the 14th round to have a shootout. Both regional leaders are already in preservation mode. No need for the best of the best to push it. Plus, so much attrition has depleted the field.
While we're at it, double the regional points for combined rounds.
