Could have sworn I was paying for “no commercials”, but we’re seeing previews for Peacock shows that are not appropriate for children while watching the broadcast as a family. Call me a Karen, but I don’t need our young children seeing a preview for a series involving someone who murdered their family, let alone some lame sex’d up reality TV show preview. Does anyone have a fix for this besides watching the replay and skipping past the previews?

And for some context here, this is the preview that I have an issue with:

Thanks,
Karen

Did you happen to catch the print at the bottom when selecting your plan to see what the asterisk represented?

Mine renewed and it was never mentioned that we had to upgrade from the premium to plus to watch commercial free. Premium was commercial free until this year.

Oh lord, this again about “I pay for no commercials!!” You do know you’re watching a live event? The no commercials is for when watching the replays of the race. You don’t get the 60 second commercials between the motos.

I’m sick of seeing previews for the Joe exotic show. It was funny when it came out 2 years ago. Now it’s just annoying

As if those commercials aren't bad enough (among numerous others aired during the playback)

OnlyFans wannabe porn stars are now acceptable sponsors according to Vitards.... How's that for great role models for kids/families.

What I don’t get is how you can be offended by that….someone making a good living supporting someone to line up on the gate isn’t fine by you because what? She posts adult content for other adults?

100 bucks say you didn’t have a problem when Marlboro and coors sponsored the series….Those two companies do more harm to the average American every day than the chick supporting Karnow could ever do in 1,000 lifetimes.

(Just so we’re clear, I have a can of longhorn in my pocket and coors in the fridge…..Just pointing out the hypocrisy)

Those families buy their toddler an IPhone and the toddler knows more about porn/OF than my 30 year old ass.

My parents took me to JAWS at age 7, TEN at 11, and THE SHINING at age 12 and look how I turned out! Laughing

Still love braided hair to this day. My parents had a great time during my childhood years and so did I.

What was the question Karen? Whistling

The replay still has commercials. I would know, I watch the replay with my son every Sunday morning.

Yes, but you can skip past the commercials or previews when watching the replay.

I tried that last night. The commercials are un-skipable now as far as I can tell. Had up upgrade to the $10/month subscription. That got rid of commercials on replays.

i hate the commercials , the science of supercross could go away too .

i for one have no issue with outside sponsors assisting the privateers , whether it be OF or not.

hell maybe OF should start commercials during the broadcast.

America is getting far too soft and far to many crybabies exist.

It's like they found out that chick from SNL does a really good Carole Baskins impression, and decided to make a whole show around it that nobody asked for.

On your point about the country going soft....I 100% agree.

...but that has nothing to do with allowing adult content promotion where families/kids are watching.

MAV shared that the demographic is 18-35. Yet look at how many kids are in the stands. Do you have a daughter...do you want her thinking that selling her body (whoring digital or otherwise) is an appropriate way to make a living? Would you be happy if your daughter came home saying she made a $500k flashing her cootch?

I'll wager most of the people who are down with this crap do not have kids of their own.

There's plenty of outlets for those seeking adult content out there, it does not belong in our sport.

This is just another nail in the coffin for why our sport will never be mainstream and never be taken seriously.
If we're trying to draw in another generation....this is not the way to do it.

my .03 cents....adjusted for inflation.

That must be the 593rd nail in that coffin I've heard about, and that's just in this past week.

Couldn't agree more. I also agree about the country going soft, however I see it 180° from how Mossy sees it.
To me it's "soft" to just turn the other way and be ok with that crap being spoon fed to our kids.
There is a real world out there and people need to bot be sheltered, but I don't need to be explaining that crap when my kid sees an ad or preview on a Supercross broadcast.

Nope, you can't. Even when fast forwarding, it will stop for the commercial to play.

you're a parent so YES you do need to explain all that "crap" to your kid if its an ad or preview for any show,.

its not nbc, the govt, or societies job to protect and raise the your kid for you.

have your kid watch nickelodeon or pbs if you feel its not up to par for your standards

You know what gets me? I was trying to watch Below Deck with my 4 year old and all of a sudden it got interrupted by a commercial for Murdercross and now all my kid wants to do is ride a murdercycle and jump triples all day instead of work on a Yacht as some millionaire's plaything. The gall of NBC!

You're not wrong man, it is my job, absolutely. My point is as the parent it should be MY choice when and how.
If I'm sitting there watching an R-rated movie or show with my kid, then I'm asking for it. Those previews don't belong on a broadcast that's intended for "all ages."
That's my point.
BUT that's the world we live in now, and it's probably not going to change. So yeah complaining about it on the internet isn't doing anything either 😂

I pay $5.00. I get it has commercials, I was just making a point. Peacock isn't worth more than $5.00. I'm only paying them money for SX.

Was Daniel Bilzerian - IGNITE an acceptable sponsor? drugs, naked girls, guns. Honest question, I never heard anyone being against him.

Would you consider him a role model for kids/families?

By the way, Dan is cool

The demographic doesn't mean a thing, if he doesn't want his children to see something he should have a way to prevent it especially if he is paying for it.

OP: There is nothing Karenish about that.
