Coming back from a nasty wrist injury.
Thanks for the info. Also its a bummer to see only 23 riders on the gate. I know there are some riders out but thats still a little lean for a world series.

I'm not too sure what Cairoli's exact role is at this point but whatever DeCarli's group and Simon are doing sure is working. He took a big leap forward.
So Cairoli interviewed before the 2nd MX1 race said he is working with the young riders on the De Carli Gasgas team.

I think Malin said he was 10th overall in the standings last year. He’s showed glimpses of his speed last season & the year before. In 2019 he was in EMX125.

That also suprised me. Honestly, I had never noticed his name last year and his perfomance today really opened my eyes.

Fantastic weekend, a chill wind yesterday , meant it was chilly, but today was clear and sunny, great day for racing , and evidence if it were needed , that a track left alone , that is naturally moist, is better than any ripped and watered track out there.

Great racing in all classes, MXGP and MX2 classes were light on numbers, but not quality of racing.

Props to Steve Dixon, to come back from last weeks disaster, to get a great meeting away, carmpsites were light, ( which you would expect in february) but car parks were full , and it looked and felt busy .

When everyone is back fit, it will be better.

Laengefelder was good today , Vialle was there with him in both races, and he went 1-1.. i know Vialle tipped off, but hey , that is the sport.

You may remember him doing RBSR a while back.

If he backs it up with a podium in Mantova , he is going to be a threat this year.

Had an awesome day at the GP as always! Racing and weather were top notch. Langenfelder rode two great races, not surprised to hear he’s been working with Toni. Renaux has more to come, but he must be pleased with that as a debut ride!

I’m surprised more haven’t heard of Langenfelder. He even raced RB Straight Rhythm a few years ago

Coaching from a former "star" is WAY overrated in my view.

Riders who make it to the top would have made it with or without the superstar coach as far as speed and talent go.

A coach can help with nutrition and fitness guidance if the rider is not interested in learning about it himself but in the end, coaches really don't matter a whole lot.

Why is the race replay for MXGP race 2 not on Mxgptv??? I went to sleep after the first lot of races last night and woke up to watch the replay of the second lot and the mxgp race 2 replay isn't there? Pretty fucking ridiculous for $210. Stayed off social media to avoid spoilers but of course I find spoilers when I'm just trying to find the race replay because Mxgptv is too incompetent to put it on their website.

I e-mailed them yesterday, no response yet. I guess they have made made a f*ck-up, so we will never see the second race.

I doubt the support people work at the weekend. I had a issue with my account & they replied within 24hrs.

If they are running a live event without any support present, then they are more stupid than I imagined.
Of course the "support desk" doesn't work weekends but someone who can fix things should be awake.
A couple of yers ago, before they went with whoever is running the stream nowadays, I e-mailed them about some cameras around the track that had very dark picture, and it was corrected within half an hour.

Conrad Mewse is so frustrating to be a fan of. Is as fast as any MX2 rider in the world so long as it’s not at an MXGP race. I just don’t get it

What a massive leap Längenfelder has taken in the winter with the new bike and the De Carli team.

He's only 18 years old so i guess the potential to take steps like these was there all along. He was able to score good results as a 16 year old in 2020, he got 10th in the championship in 2021 as a 17 year old. I don't expect him to win the title but he could definitely fight for it!

I think he has confidence issues. At say British rounds he knows he’s better than everyone else but at the GP’s it’s a different kettle of fish. If he doesn’t get a decent start he barely moves forward.

I agree with everything you say. He had the perfect weekend, his confidence must be sky high right now & I’m sure De Carli & the whole Red Bull Gas Gas team will make sure he has a level head. Maybe not the title this year but next year 100% a contender to lift the title.

Yea if he could get his head figured out he’d be winning GPs. Was easy 2-4 secs a lap quicker than Wilson Todd at British rounds last year and then would be way behind him in GP’s.

He’s had a year off, plenty of time to get over the injury and back in shape. Even with a lack of race laps, that doesn’t matter so much because it’s the only first round of the year.
I would have expected Evans to still be top ten. Bit surprised he was so far off the pace. Hope he can get back up to speed quickly.

The numbers didn’t really seem to matter did they as the racing at the sharp end of every moto was top shelf!
