England in February, for all the experts overseas. Sure, there is a storm coming, but this is what it could have been like if the racing was today 🤷‍♂️

Let’s hope they get a decent firm in to erect the sky box this year unlike in 2020.

Sorry, not true.
High winds early Friday, yes, 100mph? no. Snow? also no.

In Belgium they say that the storm that is getting from the UK to us will be the worst in 30 years, with 80 to 100 mph winds (120 to 150 km/u) and this from Friday to Sunday.

40+ mph winds on Sunday is bad enough. I wouldn't like to try the quad in that.

Updates out by the organisers - not allowing any spectators into the track today, just from 7am tomorrow morning. That'll be carnage i'm sure. I still would have gone but unable to go until Sunday now.

Will be playing it by ear as to whether it's worth risking it or not. Fingers crossed we get some racing to watch this weekend!

If you watch Guadagnini his story, it’s quite windy out there.

And FHR Awning almost destroyed...
Also in his last historys the riders with the team members disambled the awning.

It seems pretty stupid to me to put those tents up when you know it's going to storm anyway.

I don't think it matters who put it up, the end result would have been the same...

Wouldn't be surprised to see a change to the schedule. Either Sunday only or timed qualifying tomorrow.

They don’t really have a choice. They have to assume they will be running to the normal schedule, in which case they will be out at 9am for practice. They have to get the bikes through tech today and where else can they work out of, or put stuff, other than an awning?

Everyone stay safe there this weekend.

I'm 30 miles down the road. All schools have been shut here today as councils have decided it wasn't safe to travel. Plenty of trees down, but not much rain and no snow (it's 9 degrees C).
IF the wind doesn't destroy everything tonight, then maybe it'll be ok.
Saturday morning/lunchtime is forecast heavy rain, but Sunday looks drier...40+ mph winds at race time though!

There are more wrecks…
One of the coolest tracks in MX GP, why in February?

Because Dixon was absolutely adamant to host the first GP of the season, like he was in 2020, when they had to change the schedule aswell. Because of.... yes, heavy winds.

Because they are idiots.
I remember at the Gp in Teutsental I think it was in 2017 when van Horenbeek was blowing of the track and was landing between commercial barriers.
