On gatedrop.com video he says no USA this year for Jeffrey as of now. Tho got to wonder if doesn't make it back quickly will that change.

Says they don't know yet if Cairoli will race matterly either.

i think if he misses 2 rounds he can still win it , maybe even 3 rounds
sure would make it an interesting season once the very again , last year was epic until the very last round
wouldnt mind a season like that again , no matter who wins
i think the Yamaha boys will be better this season , Prado back to full fitness , the MX2 champ moving up... cant wait

Haha. The US pros anyway. I'd love for him to come here and show off his talents for a whole season. Just like Stew was (James), Jeffrey is his own worst enemy. Crashes kept both of them from being at the very top of the all-time wins and championships lists.

But a healthy Herlings in the US...damn that'd be fun to watch. RC or Stewart-era motos/wins for sure.

Don't know how serious his injury is, my son had a broken heel too. He could walk with it after 3 weeks. But if Herlings cruises around he can still lets say make 15-20 points...

Maybe ask. Kroc, musquin,ferrandis. Its all in the name and how you perceive it. World includes many countries and usa riders arent in that series..

It's like people forget that KTM and Jeffrey have contractual obligations to their sponsors in Europe who pay money because Jeffrey is on the European team. I'm sure for bragging rights they'd be stoked to have Jeffrey over here, but that doesn't help move product and pay bills in Europe as much as him racing in Europe does.

Isn’t more like Eastern Hemisphere championship vs a Western Hemisphere championship? I kid I kid, But
If Herlings misses Argentina this year which he probably will. It would mean he hasn’t raced in a Western Hemisphere GP race in over 4 years.

Why? Little late in his career to take on a new discipline. If someone Prado's age isn't coming over I wouldn't bet on anyone else but who knows. I wish one of our top guys would go over to MXGP for a season or two.

Yeah it's fair to say it's an unusual sport in that regard.

Whether or not US guys are considered on top at any one time, or anyone else in the rest of the world, there's no doubt that the US is the epicenter of the motocross industry. They have the best national series in the world, which absolutely rivals the world series in every way. In fact until fairly recently, I'd say it surpassed MXGP in every way really.

You're right in that there is only way to become World Campion outdoors, and that's to race MXGP, but until not too long ago, the best of the best still wanted to prove themselves on US soil. It's perhaps the only nation that takes any sort of grass roots motorsport seriously enough to allow people to make a living and be proud of what they do. Same attitude you see in most sports there really.
