If you really look at it, it doesn't look like bradshaw lost his hand in the whoop or even got out of control much, he was headed straight for the wall/chicken so bailed at the last second. Both of his hands were on the bars coming out of the whoops

Look closer at slowmo. He lost his left hand, then fly with both hands off. partially off camera frame.

He try to grab his bar at last moment, but its too late.

Already came off the whoops totally out of control.

What are the chances he even could have timed it that perfectly to do it on purpose? Pretty well none.

The one in 92 where Bradshaw jumps the inside berm to nail chicken is a better example , it basically cost him the championship as well

Both of Bradshaw's hands are on the grips when he lands. The back wheel even kicks up roost the moment he lands in the corner. Never tried to turn or lean.

If social media had been around back then, Bradshaw would have been hated.

Few posts above there's a screen capture with both hands off before landing. I don't think he touched the ground in control.

But I don't know what went through his mind when the opportunity arose. Maybe "Let's not miss the chance to kill this chicken guy" Laughing

Anything Chicken did back at Damon over their careers could not compare to this move, accident or not. Knarly!!

I loved those two guys and that era. They had a serious hate for each other...haha

I thought I was crazy but his hands are still on. Both of these are later frames than the above frame posted from "arr" I'm sure we agree he let go of the bars only once. Watch the video at :29 seconds. He lets go at :31 The frame posted by arr includes white gloves on grey background and bad definition leading to the impression he is not holding on. Hands on the bars and the frames below do not indicate someone making any effort to turn or lean at all? He is simultaneously pinned with roost shooting up.... I dont hate it but this is intentional 100%.

Basic case of whiskey throttle.
BTW, to this day, you can still see Matiasevich's silhouette on Bercy's wall.

You don't think that maybe he is trying to regain control from where his hands came off? This isn't a take out. Vegas was a takeout.

Stop the video at :26. Then press play and you see his left hand goes off the handlebar.

Use 1080p and 0.25 speed. If still you didn't see he totally disconnect with the bike... yes, you is crazy or need new glasses.

And loved, and nobody in between.

I imagine his rebel flag helmet would get him in trouble today.

I think he realized he lost all control and pulled both hands back to keep from breaking his hands/arms when hitting the Chicken/Wall.

That is exactly correct. Both hands were off the bars before he landed. He tried to recover, but it was too late.

I was there! Sitting in the 7th row in front of that turn. He had no intentions but ‘kill everyone’ when he went into that turn. Vegas 92
