To be fair, it won’t be if you run Dunlops…

Either way, it’s plenty light.

Anyone with one piece bar mounts noticed an improvement in the bars twisting in the event of a tip over?

I wonder what the weight of the dunlop spec tires the lawrence brothers run are compared to a stock Dunlop or the Pirellis the bike comes with.

I have been calling them weekly but the rep has not contacted me. The people who answer the phone keep putting a note in the file.

I ordered a Vortex from XPR. I know they are difficult to get right now, and XPR said it would take some time.

But just curious if anyone else had bought one from them and how long it took for yours to come in?

Last year I ordered one through them for my 21 Crf450r and they said it would be awhile because they were on back order. I received it 2-3 weeks later.

I purchased my 2022 CRF 250R Vortex ECU from Tokyo Mods on 1/31/21. I'll probably receive it at the end of February. I also purchased an XPR piston and will have it remap when it mods my cylinder.

Keep in mind also, they are running a wider rear tire and likely rim than stock.

Not sure if there are any power gains, but I am certainly more confident in the seal.

Won’t be installing this for a bit, as I’m waiting on ENZO to send me my suspension. But I’m Anxious to get this out of the wrapper and install it. The “signature series” Ti system sure looks nice. Hope it fits as good as it looks!

Nice, you could at least install the header…

What spring rate did you go with?

Good point I may do that.

So I have them doing KYB kit air forks for it. Favorite forks I’ve ever rode so using them again. Kyb kit shock wasn’t readily available and I didn’t want to wait, so stock valved shock it is. As far as spring rate on the shock I don’t know to be honest. I leave that up to ENZO they have nailed everything for me over the years. Once I get it back I’ll let you know what spring rate they put on it.

The battery housing seems relatively low and exposed... anyone know if it's water-tight? Anyone had any experience with water / mud getting into it? Particularly folks that are doing off-road racing, GNCC / hare scramble types where there's creek crossings and stuff.

What fork oil volume settings are we seeing out there? I know the stock setting is 385cc, but it seems rather harsh at mid-stroke.

You're the same dude that scammed a guy out of an$800 dollar set of tires on Tacomaworld.com

Your old user name was Racer111(same profile picture)

Someone get this bum off this forum before he scams someone on here.

You can see hes on here right now. He keeps thumbs down voting our posts. I shot ML an email to let him know.

Looks like the guys is trying to sell parts on here and scam people. He had something for sale but then deleted it quickly.

It’s mostly because of the shock transferring too much weight mid stoke to the fork. Set the sag to 110 and go a few clicks up on fork compression.

I have 3 hours on mine, had a 21 YZ250F before this one. 3 hours isn't much, but I've been riding an indoor arenacross style track and I can tell you this CRF250R just turns and stays were you tell it to. That being said, it's definitely harsher as those KYB SSS forks/shock are butter all the way from small bumps to bottoming out. I feel like this CRF250R is more of a SX/Fast Guy weapon, and is like the razors edge, harsh but works well when used properly. The motor is very similar to the YZ for my style of riding, VET B class mid pack, 40 plus and I usually ride a gear high and almost never hit the rev limiter. I know this is going to sound bad, but I have a 22 YZ250F being delivered most likley this week or next. I only bought the CRF250R as a hold over until the YZ showed up...and we (dealer and I) weren't expecting it until late spring to early summer IF ever. I was told it would arrive last September when i sold my 21 YZ - obviously that turned out to be wrong. I wasn't going to miss a season of riding as old as I'm getting! I will sell whichever one I like the least, but to be honest, it will probably come down to how the CRF feels on a motocross track, and I would guess I will like the YZ a little better.
