Sorry to hear of this; Dwayne, we met at one of the Anaheims. You loved your Moto and Moto loved you. Rest easy, brother.

He must have been young at heart because I thought he was a younger man. Seemed full of energy and optimism. RIP.

I can get Dwayne's ashes to any National that needs covering...from Hangtown on thru the series...Millville...where-ever.

For those that didn't know him: DW was a fun and care-free dude that just loved hanging out at the races and "catching up" with everyone. He was a smiling face in the crowd.

For many years, at the Glen Helen National, DW had "Base Camp" up on the REM Pit Hill where many of us would spend the day just hanging out and enjoying The Ultimate Race Day Experience...which, simply put, was...

Dwayne's Hospitality and Friendship

For the record: He'd be absolutely stoked if we all had a get-together of some kind in his name. Heck, he'd be stoked just to see this thread.

This place is pretty damn cool.

Very sad that such a great human is gone. Over many years online he was someone who you could tell was a great guy. Always helpful and loves moto. He was someone i hoped to meet at the races some day and thank him for all his help, the links and just being a good man. RIP.

As many of you read in a thread a few months back that Dwayne Williams (MXerDW) had a stroke. It really looked like he was improving but then had a setback a few days ago and today succumbed to his illness. I know a lot of you guys used his race day links for years and if you had a chance a lot of us spent some time at Glen Helen or Pala or where ever a National was run and thoroughly enjoyed Dwayne's hospitality. If you all get a chance, lift a beer and give Dwayne a toast.

RIP Dwyane
Wow..
So sorry to hear, dude was a really good dude, godspeed.

Hey Dwayne whenever I came rolling into a weekend and wanted to know where the world of Supercross or Motocross was, I always looked to your 'race-day links' thread. It's always nice to know someone like you that is in front of the crowd, helping people out, and pointing them in the right direction. As you ascend into heaven maybe you can save a couple of those links and post one more thread for all of us that are behind you. God bless you!

Rest in Piece DW, appreciate your contributions to the board and the sport! I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers. Enjoy your bench racing with our moto brothers who have passed. This beer is for you. 🍺

So sad to hear. For years Dwayne has added so much to mine and everyone's race day and for many, much more than that. RIP moto brother.

I never met Dwayne personally, but he used to play the MX fantasy leagues with us. In the 2009 MotoXDream Supercross series, I had a small lead on Dwayne going into the final round at Vegas, the prize was Tommy Hahn's Motosport Canidae KX450.
I had Hahn on my team and was looking good in the 450 main, I had the win covered. Hahn's bike took a dump and expiered with a few laps to go, and Dwayne and I tied in points for the series. Dwayne won the tie-breaker and the bike. Smile
Losing the comp to Dwayne did not worry me one bit, I was so happy for him..He sent me his phone number, I called and congratulated him, we were on the phone for at least 1 hour. I think he had just bought an 05/06 CRF450 but it needed some work but was now being put on the back burner.
Talked to him quite a few more times on the phone after that. Awesome guy, will be missed. Sad

Everyone that new Dwayne and has posted in here has pretty much covered everything about how cool Dwayne was and how much Moto was a part of him. I was fortunate to hang with him and his dog Rosco for a few nationals in 2014, i was travelling by myself so it was always cool to have someone to shoot the shit with about the days racing at the end of the day. Dwayne had a pretty cool Jersey collection, many from yesteryear, that if he heard an oldtimer was at the race he would get this persons jersey and ask them to sign it, which of course they would.

At Milville i managed to get a Photo of Dwayne and Mike Craig after he signed a couple, good times.

Awwww. Shit!

As someone who also put together weekly "this week's links" posts (long time ago) , I always looked forward and appreciated everything he contributed. From the outside it probably looks simple. It's not. You can't miss a week. The links have to be right and on time. Always looked forward to the post. Didn't know he was ailing. Godspeed brother.

Me and Dwayne used to exchange estimated National Numbers which was always enjoyable, and he was the one to provide me with the template for the current race links threads. I’ll never be DW for race links just like I’ll never be what Scottie was for the old school race threads, but I do what I can. These two dudes are legends and Vital owes a lot to them.

Never met DW but felt like I knew him well from this board. Seemed like a wonderful person who gave his time to anyone and everyone to make their lives easier. Such a bummer I never made it a point to go see him and experience his hospitality at the races. RIP DW 🙏

Know I haven’t posted in years but today has me really bummed out. I stepped away from the Moto industry a few years ago but still keep in touch with a few people and try to get to at least one race a year. Dwayne was a great guy and I’m glad I was able to call him a friend. He always let me know where he was going to be and always had an ice cold Becks waiting. RIP DW.
