Tomac is hard to pronounce because its tomac. But the kawi are in front the Honda are in front and the kt are in front.

Its a pain to watch the blucrew can't get a start. Ferrandis in the main had a good response time. But in the straight no power goes to the ground and he wasnt even top15 after the first turn.

Must be an awful feeling.
Nothing you described has ANYTHING to do with the bike. Starts are 90% rider. As for DF...he simply does not have the confidence in his SX skills, and he is thus inconsistent. It was the exact same last year.

The 2x 250 west coast champ has no confidence in his SX skills? Yeah, no.

Last year was his first year on the 450. He had minimal time on the bike because of an injury that set him back (broken hand). The schedule with the back to back races didn't allow for the team to test between rounds which didn't help. Despite all that he, still managed to get on the podium. In fact, all 3 Yamaha riders got on the podium. Malcolm achieved his first career podium on the Yamaha, so it's not the bike.

Star Racing now has a year of development on the bike and Dylan is looking much better than he did last year. He went from 16th to 6th in Oakland and was closing in on 5th. If he wasn't confident in his skills or equipment, he wouldn't have moved forward as much as he did in the race.

He just needs a start.

We saw this years ago when I raced District 14 on 60’s, 80’s . 125’s and 250’s. People would literally want our 60’s because they were sure that we ran some kind of crazy mods, reality is that they were bone stock bikes that we practiced on and I could rip holeshots. On 60’s it was regular to be out by 4 bike lengths….but my dad put in a ton of hours working on starts with me. He knew that no matter your speed you had to have good starts. It’s learned and can be destructive to the competition when you have it dialed.

You may want to look at a chart of laptimes. Pretty sure Webb and his double chin were the fastest on the track the last 5-6 laps. He came pretty damn close to Dylan and Mookie at the end and gapped Marvin by 17 seconds after Marvin almost passed him earlier in the race
