The title says it all! Peacock is setting the hook and you guys are biting. In the not so distant future you will be paying for regular tv and streaming all sports and thats when the price gouging will start. Cable and satellite started out cheap also.

The replays sometimes take 20-30 minutes to work after the event ended in my experiences last year.

I'd prefer to see each commercial just once, then leave the cameras on something else.
Usually I wait for the replay, then fast forward through anything I want to skip
It would be awesome if we could rewind the live broadcast. Then I would wait an hour or so before watching and not have to wait for the replay.
For $4.99/month, only suggestions coming from me. No complaints!

Nah, you’re clinging on to old ideology. Sure if you subscribe to literally every streaming service you will pay the same or more than a “ULTIMATE PLATINUM PREMIUM” cable package that included the channels you actually wanted to watch. $5 a month for peacock and $10 for a couple other streaming services a month is still way cheaper. It’s on you if you insist on subscribing to every service made available, which I can see why you’d be making that argument. Maybe you just way more TV than most people.

I’m way happier just paying for what I want to watch because it is saving me so much money. All about having options. Pick the one that suits you the best.


The argument here is that it was advertised as no ads and then they gave us ads. Not a price issue since that didn’t change, it’s more of a morals issue. like I mentioned earlier, in SX it doesn’t matter much because they have designated breaks but in outdoors we still get to watch the motos take place. Hopefully they don’t axe the full moto coverage to make us watch ads.

It takes time for the livestream to be processed into a file that can be replayed. Last year, it seemed to take 30-60 minutes.

It’s very odd how many people are defending this with “back in my day” and “just be glad we get anything”. The issue isn’t that there are commercials. The issue is that there are commercials even when you pay extra to not have commercials. There weren’t commercials last year but there are this year so they should’ve made it clear that the programming changed.

You didn’t have a cell phone in the 70’s but that wouldn’t justify paying for cell service today with 2gb of data and then only getting 1gb.

It’s not FREE, but the initial cost is the ONLY cost. I cancelled Direct TV a few months ago at $225 a month. No brainer

i am most likely as old or older than you but I am sick and tired of every streaming show to charge extra and then you pay even more money to not have commercials and you can't even watch replays without 18 commercial breaks ! straight up BS. YE i remember watching on wide world of sports back in the early 70s and it was a weekend after or possibly a month . I didn't care then because it didn't cost anything and most of the time i was racing anyway the day of the races .
