2021 KX450, 2020 YZ 125, 2016 RM 85. I live in Western Massachusetts in a formerly safe and crime free town that I grew up in and that borders Springfield. They cut the lock on my trailer and pulled the bikes out the side door. Cops seemed concerned and have done a lot so far. Went to the neighbors but no cameras. One neighbor kid heard a bang and what he thinks was a bike starting. This happened last night. We do have footprints in the mud. Anything anyone can add, offer, advise etc. is greatly appreciated. My kids are absolutely destroyed. I have the VINS for each bike. Thank you.

I'm gutted for you. I hope you can recover them ASAP and the perps get the death penalty (preferably at the street level).

Super bummed for you and your kids. Theft is rampant everywhere. Stealing someone else’s property should be a felony.

trailer theft is easy, cutting a master lock for these people aint shit. For me it is garage, being transported, or being ridden on the trails.

It's looking good. Never knew I had such good neighbors who all have cameras. They rode the bikes right up the street at 1AM Monday and crashed the 85 when they ran it out of gas in front of my neighbors house. He yelled at them and found out they are 3 white teenagers, the one on my 450 really knows how to ride. They had helmets and were "well spoken". We'll get the little bastards...

Best to not involve the police😎

I had one stolen and luckily it rained the day before. We were able to track it by finding the knobby marks when they pushed it off until clear of the houses. Tracked it for about 10 miles on top of one of the levees. We lost the tracks there but my friend was a cop and he notified his friends in that town. Low and behold, next day they were getting reports of a dirt bike on the street (pre wheelie boy days) and once in pursuit the theif crashed it.

Got my crashed bike back but to add salt to the wound I had to pay a $75 impound fee to get it back then spend a grand to fix the crash repairs. Cost me ~$1100, theif “probation”, effen probation…

Good luck. Hope you get your bikes back in recoverable condition.

Whether the thieves know it or not, we can play judge, jury, and executioner here if they are working at night.
Or anytime someone cuts a fence.

Doing what I do for a living I am keenly aware of what will happen to these POS if they get caught, especially in here in liberal utopia. Less than nothing. I just want my bikes back.

Nope. I was reading about insuring bikes in another thread here. Too little too late. I'm out about $18000 and still owe $8000 on the KX. I hope God hates thieves and the Devil loves them.

Bikes get stolen so frequently in Louisiana it’s almost crazy not to have insurance. It seems they find the perps about 10% of the time and the bikes about 50/50 with them being messed up when they get them.

I had my play bike (Z50) stolen out of my garage after my cousin forgot to close the door. They left my 1995 CR 250 a& my cousins KDX 200 behind. I was livid. I went to all the local MC shops and spoke to both the parts department and the service departments and asked that they keep an eye out for a Z50 or persons buying parts for one (no Honda dealers close by).
Sure enough, the local Kawasaki dealer service department calls and they have a Z50 that is fouling plugs in for service. Seems the knuckleheads filled the bike with my premix before stealing my bike. I called the police so they meet me at the shop. They (the police) gave me my bike back as long as I didn’t press charges…..the co*k sucker thief was the mayor’s son.
Go to all your local dealers, spread the word everywhere.

This world we live in is rotting and festering like a ripe boil. I mean, the crimes taking place...murders, rape, armed robbery, hijackings, theft and everything else in between are rampant and its getting worse every year.

The laws and sentencing are not harsh enough for the guilty. It is also unfair that the tax payer has to foot the bill for prison time.

Expidite death sentences for those on death row. Time in jail with extreme hard labour. Bring back chain gangs...let the fuckers work to pay back society. Get found guilty for theft a second time then chop a hand off. Jail time must be so Shit that a criminal will think twice before committing a crime.

A criminal should lose his human rights. It's time to put the law abiding citizens first. Treat criminals like garbage when inside. Flog them daily.

My house was cleaned out some time back. The bastards were caught and got out with a suspended sentence.

Sorry to here. Insurance is cheap!!!! My 2021 350xcf is only $78 a year from progressive. Full coverage with a $3000 accessory payout with receipts!

Man, that is such a bummer. Think of all the people you know, or people who could observe bikes being in the trailer. Considering your neighborhood, it doesn't seem like a place thieves would do a random break in. My guess is that they knew exactly what they were going for.

Yep I've had one stolen and got it back. Who got stuck with the bill? Not the thieves, didn't cost them a dime. If I had it to do over I would have gotten my money a different since the cops had me come to their house and pick it up.

Edit: Looks like the kids are definitely locals. It is very likely you will get your stuff back and it’s a matter of when and not if.

Put an Apple AIRTAG on your bike and it will lead you to the bastards front door
plus Insurance is much cheaper than replacing the bike out of your pocket

Insurance has always been the cheapest solution when it comes to theft and peace of mind. Luckily I have never had to make a claim.

BUT the airtag idea is a great idea! I think I am going to look at getting one to see if I can mount it under the seat or in the airbox somewhere. Would be awesome if they ever were stolen to be able to give law enforcement a location and get the bad guys.
