AFAIK he doesnt have kids

if you dont have kids, its very easy to accumulate wealth. Especially if you live in a dual income house

I could careless what he makes but would be amazed if it were accurate for what he does.

If that figure is right I would think almost certainly not because of PulpMX. If so, I’ll seriously consider getting in the game.

Get in the game then.

I find it delusional for someone to think they could just hop right in and build the following he has. Especially considering most folks "off the street" wouldn't have any connections to get the content that Steve does.
I hear you, then again it’s arguably delusional to enter the Supercross Series believing you can win it, but riders still make that choice. I like PulpMx, I just think there’s more than enough room in this sport for something different.

Net worth is a fascinating thing, but it means very little unless you factor in a person's liabilities.

Three examples:

1. You have assets totaling 11.5 million and liabilities totaling 10 million. Your net worth is 1.5 million, but you are feeling very stressed, because you're very "leveraged."

2. You have assets totaling 6.5 million and liabilities totaling 5 million. You're feeling pretty good, as your net worth, while still 1.5 million, is a much larger percentage of your overall asset/liability totals.

3. You have assets totaling 1.75 million and liabilities totaling .25 million. Like the other two examples, your net worth is also 1.5 million, but you are living like a boss, because no one has any real leverage on you. This is especially true in inflationary economies like the one we're in now, as your assets will rise while your debt stays rather flat, as banks want your business.

Just thought I'd add a little context.
If you owe the bank $10K, you have a problem. If you owe the bank $10M, the bank has a problem…

I wanna be the guy with $11.5M in assets and $10M in liabilities. Especially if it’s real estate, which can be acquired at <3% WACC yet generates significantly higher ROIC when combining rental income and moderate appreciation. That $1.5M delta will improve significantly faster that the last example.

He loves to ask riders about money, but seems to not want to say much about how much he earns. I have noticed that.

I would assume his home and his rental are worth about 800k-1.2mil combined considering the fact that he’s in LV then you’ve got other assets like cars bikes etc and of course investments

Who knows though really not really anyone else’s business either

Yeah, and IIRC he has two decent homes. I believe he said he just rents the old one out but still owns it. Those sites are rarely accurate though, especially considering it isn’t someone who’s “famous”.

That being said, what kind of person uses their free time to Google something like this?

Some days get boring at work until something goes wrong. Actually was listening to an old podcast Steve was doing with rv and he asked him if he had 40 million in the bank. My bored self went down a rabbit hole after that. I was googling everyone from John madden to Steve lol
I dont think its anywhere near 1.5M but with PulpMX advertising, his RacerX salary, and PulpMx Fantasy having 10,000+ players yearly at $35 per person Im sure its more that 200K.

If it’s true then good , I actually hope it’s more ,

He’s built a platform and provided me with a heap of enjoyment and info from some of the best and brightest in the sport.

It would take someone very good a very long time to replace the access he has

Darkside os on there. The guy’s screenshot couldn’t fit all the options, it cut off the bottom four.

He’s partially emotionally bankrupt! Doesn’t even know his friends Kids names! Cant name them or even know how many they have! When I hear that I think Wtf is up with that?
Anyhow he produces great content for free, and helps privateers.
His show isn’t worth much to sell, as he is the product, and this would reflect on his low worth of say.

I would think net worth includes the sum of all your assets (cars, bikes, house, property, etc.) plus savings and income? I don’t have anywhere near that amount, but I can see how a successful middle aged person could easily accumulate that, or more.
A net worth of 1.5 is pretty darn good for a 40-45 year old couple. If you cashed out and invested well, you could live off the earnings.

He probably should be worth more.. MF worked hard to make his podcast run such a long run and keeping it interesting and getting real pro racers opinions every Monday night. He's the Howard Stern of MX podcast in my opinion. I also like how he focuses on racers new and old as well. Keeps us Vet racers entertained.

depends on where you live and what kind of lifestyle you want to live

if you live in the midwest or south, yeah you're doing pretty good

if you live in a big metro area like LA,seattle or NYC its middle class all things considered, especially if you have kids.

New house sold for 1.2 million. I'd say he's doing well for himself.
