Coming to a theatre near you. This I a guy in our vintage racing club in Texas.As all my friends know, I've been talking about getting the hell out of Houston as fast as I can, due to crime, bad roads, and too many other things to mention. Last night, my wife’s car, my car, five of my neighbor's cars were all broken into and robbed. It was a high-tech operation, with no windows broken, yet they successfully accessed every car, including a BMW and Mercedes. Apparently, they are getting so high tech, they can clone your key fob without even being around you. Now, I am EXPEDITING my plan to move out of Houston. I will be putting my house up for sale within two or three weeks, I’ve been attacked at a gas station, rear-ended at a stop sign, and the guy blamed it on me, I could go on and on …. I’m getting my house ready for sale….the last thing I’m doing is getting my garage sheet rocked. My contractor started yesterday….fortunately, my children are safe (see pic). What sucks is, I just cashed a check for $1000 for gift cards, and 12 hours later it’s gone. I had it in a pouch in the glove box with several other pouches. They took the time to go through every one of them. Also, they jammed my ring camera, it just has no activity when the robbery occurred. Pretty scary, they’re getting like them mob, I think they have a real smart high-tech “Boss”, and he delegates the operation to his cronies to protect himself. Similar to the smash and grab’s that are going on. I’m gonna get me a 10 to 15-acre ranch in the country! I love living in a country, I hate living in a traffic-filled crime-ridden city! Probably moving north to the Livingston area….. Added bonus as it will put me closer to the TVRC Races! Sorry for my whining, but I am pissed!! Gary Davis has the ideal place. It’s perfectly located, it’s a beautiful place! Sorry, but who better to vent my frustrations than my TVRC family!

No title, no source list/refrence, no information on the creator, nothing. Just states and numbers. For all I know that was a created by a 12 year old who was just bullshiting numbers to finish his homework.
Looks somewhat like the graph of which states receive more federal dollars than pay, and which states pay more in federal taxes than receive.

Is this really how we decide which state to move to or leave? A graph I'd hand back to elementary kids and tell them to finish it? Grinning

I did my time in SoCal, would never go back. You don't realize how bad it is until you leave for a while. Sure the weather is premium, but the cut throat attitude, leftist control, and sheer volume of people is crazy.

North Carolina is nice. Mild winters, great falls and springs, summer can get a little sticky, great economy and plenty of room to ride.

I would say its a place to start.

People leaving places that are taxed to death, to live in those that arent doesnt seem like a wild stretch of the imagination does it.

the only person i know personally that cries about 'democratic socialists ruining his life' and harps on how awful california is, lives in rural PA and has been there like 3x, once with me to beautiful anaheim for a1 where we had a blast and enjoyed beautiful weather. in january.

Cal is great dec to feb but the rest of the yr not so much. Everything is brown and dead looking every mile looks the same in all the western states the air is so dry. Others talked of poop , even at Walmart parking lot it was everywhere. Every thing is locked under glass you hv to get an employee to get ibuprofen. You don’t see that in other states. La traffic only has sitting traffic when there is a interchange, Chicago is worse but Chicago women r easily the hottest in the country. So traffic isn’t so bad. Cal it seems like there is always 18-34 people waiting in line. Cal super laid back people. Even the port container drivers I deal with them at warehouses in La. I,m like wake up and move your slow ass. Chicago container drivers we cut each other off ingating , inside the railyard and exit. Where all go go go, LA is slow slow slow. La streets bums on 59k welfare living in 1972 campers with stolen crap everywhere .

Its all superficial, under the surface there are a lot of problems.

I used to live in Dana Point, couldn't go in the water thanks to the red tide. Well then go down to Trestles, or something, surf next to a nuclear reactor? No thanks.

Maybe go riding... only 2 hours to go what 30 miles on any given day. Constant lines to do anything and pay more for the same products. Sure there are some great tracks and plenty of competition, but I can go ride and be back home working again in the same time it would take me to get to the track.

I know, let's go to Mammoth and ski, I lived in Mammoth before Intrawest ruined it! Shit show of SoCal kooks, make the road look like a parking lot, common sense of the village idiot. Finally get to the the mountain only to see fist fights in line because the tough guy attitude can't be left down south.

People who have never lived outside of California don't realize how bad their daily lives really are. People who come to visit are awed by the chance to do 3 sports in 3 days, but don't realize the stress it will cause to make that happen. I say Californians, stay where you are and if you do go somewhere else, at least don't kook it out. If you live somewhere else and think you want to live in California, just realize that you will likely be hustling much harder to make it work and probably get burned out fast.

And if you want hot chicas that know how to treat a man, just go to Colombia.

Nice bike! We are on a snow hiatus in the N NV. At some point a side car and studded tires may be a reality for dealing with snow.
