Does anyone know where there is some info on what air pressure settings to use for a vintage bike with fox air shox? I am racing a 1979 RM250 with Fox Air Shox, and I need to find out how much air to run in them
This might help

His first attempt was this setup on his 73 Maico 400 which used a large diameter fluid hose routed to a single reservoir. Obvious reasons this didn't work out for production but he did say that this design worked quite well.
Early production Fox Airs (1975?) did not use a bladder and were single pressure in the upper body only. They did have external adjustable dampening. 200 sets produced and pretty hard to find a nice set. Ended up with about $1500.00 tied up in piecing together the almost perfect set here.
Check that welding that my nephew did on the swing arm forward shock mounts.
This site has been helpful for myself!
Also new memener and first post or comment on there, so hello lol
I wonder who the other Vitard was that helped on that project 🤔 and shortened the shock bodies??

I forget, How do you slow the rebound, jets? Where can I get a gauge
thank you
Where can I get a gauge?
With the huge amount of shock pumps available for MTB Air Shocks and Forks, the biggest problem you'll have is deciding which one to buy.
I'm going off memory here but if I'm thinking right. Jets change rebound and compression. Rebound spring that holds the ball over the jet will change rebound only. Thor at

can hook you up with jets, springs and a manual.
It hits me hard when I see an old post from Joe Newman. He was a good person who helped anyone that asked
