Looks like the lads over at Meta could be in for a pay day. They own the Meta social handles. Looks like they are getting plenty of traction from zukerburgs Facebook parent company rebrand.
Good for them and the sport to get some extra eyes on the awesome work they do!

For those of you not familiar, META is a "motorcycle culture magazine" but I think they got their start in motocross. Herlings was on the cover of their first issue. Today Facebook announced that they are rebranding under the name Meta.

But think your getting carried away with what Facebook is doing with Meta, it’s just a parent name.
Google did the same and has been a subsidiary to Alphabet Inc for years.
If meta does take off, it’ll work against the moto mag.
Meta is Zuck's new corporate name. So Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and all the other entities they own will be owned/operated under the name Meta. Facebook will continue as one of their platforms.
Google did something similar a few years ago with Alphabet, inc.
I doubt Meta as a corporation will have a big interest in creating a consumer facing presence on all the social media platforms. Interestingly, the only social media channel I can see them wanting @meta for, Twitter, is the one major platform that the moto Meta guys don't have.
Pit Row
It's an honor to say I had a small part of the first few issues and I personally think it's amazing to see where that small crew has taken their publication. It's a very well put together coffee table book that supports many genres of our sport. And I preach this all the time: I support anyone and everyone that supports our sport. Giving it backlash because it looks hipster is just naive and ignorant. I appreciate they dedicate their lives to spreading the joy and love of motorcycles.
Andrew at META is a fantastic human being, someone I'm proud to call a friend. It's a high quality book that has done quite well and is all about enjoying riding motorcycles of all types.
Through META we were able to work on probably the coolest "non-moto" project in my 10 years with the company to team up with Denton Moto to build a surprise gift for Steve Caballero.
Although that article screencapped above says that Zuck's Meta will be known as @WeAreMeta on Instagram.
F Zuckerberg. I don't support any of his companies.
I predict a day not too far into the distant future where people who use social media will be frowned upon and cast aside as silly dumb little lemmings. All of the young people that have grown up on these services are almost certain to have a lackluster future until they can ween themselves off of it and their addiction to their phones
