He clearly has a lack of race craft from where he’s never had to battle anyone in his life because he’s always been so dominant. He’s only 20 and he probably will learn from this but fuck man he’s hard to watch when he’s trying to hold someone off. Just hope he learns his lesson.

Why the fuck should he kill the gas when he is fighting for the win?! Prado jumped across the whole jump to prevent herlings from passing him. How can you not see that? Everyone saw that, even paul malin, the commentator, said it was an ugly move on the broadcast.
The race is over at the line.... they crashed after the race was over... if he was gonna block, he needed to do that during the race, before the line.... which he did not... Prado seems to have bam bams race craft.... which is essentially- wtf?

I thought Musquin cross jumped and rode dangerous, Jorge takes it to the next level. I can't stand watching him ride.

I can't wait to see someone take him out.

It looked like he got off balance in the rut at the bottom of the G-out and that sent him right going up the takeoff. Then he stayed pinned to hang on for the win instead of checking up. Split second decision to stay in it for the win.. I bet if it was any other lap he would have checked up.

What’s getting lost in all this is how good Prado rode, when he gets passed early it’s usually all she wrote for him. But he tracked Herlings down and pulled away pretty easily for awhile and then at the end of the race his typical fade wasn’t nearly as bad and he held on for the win but all the momentum he just got from the race is over before he could take his helmet off due to what ever he was thinking at the finish line.

Huh? Prado did something stupid I didn’t say he did not. It doesn’t change the fact that he re passed Herlings pulled away from everyone and held on to the win. Prado is highly aggressive and goes over the line sometimes but it don’t change the fact that he is coming up.

If he was a time bomb those last 5 laps how come multiple guys didn’t pass him.

Not defending him, just pointing out that if you actually watch the GP’s his moto bucked a trend.

Can’t remember bam bam doing much dangerous cross jumping at high speed just some block passing on steroids mostly.
Prado has been at it all year and the reputation he’s got a the next big thing is being tarnished by this all season. He seems to have a serious resistance to his teammates more than the opposition. Honda has to laughing it’s nuts off at all this.

I wouldn’t bother guys, ferrys123 has only been a member since yesterday, obvious a troll.
i think its Cesar-rc4 alter ego ..timing is perfect after his last comment yesterday about Prado , same usage of text etc

Nope. The finish líne was before the jump. Herlings had to back off and let Prado enjoy the win. Instead he tries to pass him in the air well after the finish line. Why?

You don't understand racing. You race through the finish line, not let off before it to let someone else "enjoy the win". Also, you can't accelerate in the air. You're welcome for the beginner racing information.

Exactly. But people here are pretending that Prado blocked Herlings to guarantee the win which is nonsense. Prado made mistake which is part of racing. Herlings made a mistake because he didn't kill the gas after the finish line and got Prado in the air.

Tomac needs to race the last few rounds, I like the way he handles cross jumpers, example Webb at Daytona a few years ago!

Not sure if you know what you are saying. Facts are facts. Your bullshit doesn't change that. This is not a weekend warrior meeting. This is the World Championship. It ended with Prado in hospital and Herlings very luckily unhurt. These are facts. Prado won. That's all. And he was hit by Herlings well after the finish line. This is not a race incident this was an after race incident. All the bullshit about Prado is nonsense. Herlings had to back off because his chances were nill and the risks very high as demonstrated.
You should spend a weekend at Lommel after the Sunday GP, they open on tuesday, to understand what are ruts and slopes.

Are you the weekend warrior thinking GPs are for the average bloke? Have you ever been to a Mxgp? Share a track with them?.
Prado made a mistake. And Herlings made another mistake that could have ended with both lads in hospital and KTM out of the title. And the question is why? He could not win. Why pushing that hard even after the checkered flag?

Herlings did not make a mistake he held his line, he should not expect someone to cross jump especially on the finish line jump… seriously?

So you are saying Herlings should have backed off over the finish line? like Anderson at that pesky mxdn race he got landed on?

You should submit your resume for team manager.

“I believe in advanced racing theory, such as letting off before the finish line and letting other competitors enjoy the win.”

That’s the shame of it all, he rode amazing. Herlings passed him on lap one and he caught him again, passed him back and then re-passed him straight back again at the end of the race. Not many riders can do that kind of thing, or have ever been able to do that kind of thing. That’s what frustrates me the most, he doesn’t need to ride like he does, he’s so good, it’s just unnecessary. Now unfortunately he’s most likely also out of the title fight, which is a huge shame for the series

This dude keeps coming back to the finish line placement... he's so adamant, I feel like I'm missing something?

The dude with the checkers is clearly at the top of that jump, so common sense would suggest the finish line is at the lip of that jump as is usually the case?

Is that not true? Ferry123456 you are claiming it's before this, right? Any pics / proof of this as that would be seriously counter-intuitive?

Let me make sure. You go right on the jump to drift wide for the next left? What a concept. You watch the fastest guys in the world do the same thing lap after lap. Maybe watch a little Moto GP. JP should have been aware of JH. JP rides very defensive no doubt but many do the same. JP feels if he has the lead, he can go where he pleases. Been like that for years.

You can’t go where you please if you’re going to wipe someone out in mid air by doing it.

What does MotoGP have to do with it? The racing line in road racing and motocross is not the same thing. Surely you understand that?

Not one person all day landed in the direction Prado was going on this occasion. Even if it was the racing line to sweep to the right for the left, which it wasn’t, the race was over and didn’t have to take the left hander, so it’s an irrelevant point

The problem with all Herlings fanatics is to avoid to recognize how good Prado is. Technically second to none. Still lacking on his phisycal condition. Only 20 years old.
Herlings feels the pressure and does not want to be beaten by the boy the way Cairoli was.
7 races left. 5 hard pack and Mantova. It does look goed for Gajser.

And that´s all about. Herlings, the fastest, fantastic, but does not deliver. He had a big pressure and more after yesterday.
"The problem with all Herlings fanatics..."

Meanwhile, you're milking Prado's prostrate like you're on the payroll...

All I know is these guys are amazing to watch and I hope this incident is a learning lesson and decreases the chance they get injured while battling in the future.
