Roczen

Edited Date/Time 9/7/2021 5:40pm
No thread on how he completely de-railed in both motos? Was there any word as to why he was cruising around the track in both motos besides "he was too hot"?

I thought there surely would be a thread on this as it's yet another Roczen mental meltdown if you ask me.

No one asked you. Roczen is an animal on that bike, but sometimes the next guy is just a bit better.

Watch out you will get hammered on here for pointing out a weak ass effort especially by him. Hondas obviously gone soft they would have sent him packing with that effort

If you don't believe that Kenny was well aware of the title and the points, I'm not sure what to say. Kenny didn't have a mental meltdown. If he did, was due to the actual heat lol. You could see him laboring seat bouncing things others weren't as well as looking like jello on the bike. Mere mortals know all too well what that feels like.

Kenny seems like a great guy. He is a super-fast rider but you have to wonder...

did he not know there would be hot races this summer and prepare accordingly?

Tomac used to not handle the heat well and now look at him. Stroll in the park yesterday.

He said (I think on IG) that he puked in moto 1 and has a propensity to pass out after puking so he backed way off for a lap or two and then tried to pick it back up to salvage 3rd. Moto 2 was just a sufferfest (his words).

I feel bad for the guy. Yet another season where he came unraveled as the season went on. I really don't think he ever wins another championship.

Glad to hear that in a sense. I felt like he was gonna pull off and call it a career.

Sorry Vitards, anyone that says bad things about any rider that makes the show at a national, has no clue how difficult it is. Whether you are in the points chase or not, every one of those guys is a bad ass! Moto at that level, in those conditions, is one of the most diffficult athletic strains of any sport. I think I am safe to say, not everyone has a great day every day at their chosen profession, no matter how much money we get paid. I am an old guy that is happy to have athletes of this calber to watch, no matter their results.

Only a complete idiot would think riding at the level in that heat wouldn't have an affect. I get they're pro's and train for moto, but they're still human. A mental meltdown? gtfoh

Now the shit talking start as if he was rolling around in 10th all season long. He's won 1/3 of the motos and the 2nd best guy same as his sx. 1 or 2 bad days for webb or df an he would be sx an outdoor champ this year

My point is not to 'pick' on him.

It is to point out that he did not prepare properly OR as you all suggest it is just not possible for him to ride well if it is 90 degrees or higher.

If the latter is the case then he has no chance of ever winning an MX title.

I contend he did not prepare properly. That is the only explanation for the last two races. Not being ready for heat is 'fixable' if he wants to fix it.

For us to be able to even watch KR 94 after the injuries, is a bonus. We do not know what effects all the medical procedures he has gone thru have on him. Even if there aren't any, I still enjoy having the opportunity to watch him ride a dirt bike.

I wonder what the $ difference between 3rd in the series vs 2nd in the series is ? After yesterday Tomac has a real shot at 2nd. That will be the battle to watch next weekend.

not a big deal but the post was more to the effect of " i got dizzy and last time i got dizzy i puked so i backed it down until i got myself back together, and held on for 3rd" did not actually throw up this time.

Roczen had a fantastic year.

2nd in SX
2nd in MX
Multiple wins in both series
Made $Millions$ in less than 12 months
Stayed relatively injury free all year.

He’s the best all-around rider we had this year and you guys are dogging him for backing off a bit after he KNEW Ferrandis locked up the championship? Mind boggling…

The second best person or team in any kind of sport always gets the most hate for some reason. There is plenty of riders who did worse but those cunts tell the second best guy to retire, pathetic.
I hope we are able to witness the Ferrandis/Tomac and Roczen battles for some more years because that season was awesome to watch.

True. Give Kenny a cool day and a track like Unadilla and he is unbeatable right now.

Imagine living in a world where you could puke, almost pass out and still podium a 450 national. If I could do that they'd have to blur out the bottom half of my body on the podium because my boner would be super offensive.

2nd in MX is still TBD. Tomac is 9 points down. If Roczens week next week ends up like yesterday, he’ll be 3rd

I don’t know that Kenny will ever win another title, but I hope he sticks around for awhile. Wish he’d win more, but watching him on his good days is a treat in itself.

I don't care how good of shape you are in or how hard you train, there are limits to what the human body can handle and after a long, hot summer of racing a 100+ degree day at that level might have just been too much. Tomac didn't even stop at the podium to do his post race interview either, so that should tell you something about how gnarly those conditions were.

I thought there surely would be a thread on this as it's yet another Roczen mental meltdown if you ask me.
Why is it that he’s ahead of Tomac in points?

If there wasn't this one guy in both series (CW and DF) that was simply better than the rest youd all be talking about how unbeatable the 94 is
