He posted this on Facebook this morning…

“Well. Not the news I wanted to put out but for my well being it’s the best case.

I as well as the team have decided to take time off due to the EBV virus I have been battling all summer. I showed up and pushed through it each race but there comes a point you will keep digging yourself a deeper hole.

Even though I was cranking out top 10s I was still no where I should be. But anyways going to take this time to rest & get my energy/blood levels back where they need to be. Thank you all for the support!”

Saw this on his Instagram. It totally blows, but hopefully he gets things figured out and puts in the work next season.

Flake. Top 10 is good for him. When was the last time he finished a season?

He is all hat and no cattle at the start of every season...

Injuries, EBV and Covid are taking its toll on the series. Not nearly as stacked as round 1.

I think the common theory is that when he dropped from the series that meant he wouldn't race a Husky again. On to the next chapter for him. I think he's gonna really like the Kawi.

I believe Barcia is supposed to be back before the series ends. Maybe just the last 2 rounds or just Hangtown.

Well this MX series is basically done, everybody is closing up shop.

On to Canadian SX for a couple of rounds. May actually be more entertaining.

I don't know if it'll be more entertaining, but the track is the most legit one they've had to date.

Yeah, not like there's a close battle for the Championship in the 250s.

Shit. Probably a great move but I really hate it for DW and the races are always better with his personality and talent there.

Even if he had the perfect bike, perfect health, perfect everything, he still probably wouldn't be winning. The fact is it doesn't matter. He's still one of the fastest guys on the planet and deserves respect for it. He probably doesn't have many years left in the sport either, it's not like this makes a huge difference in his career path. He's doing what he feels he needs to do in order to leave the sport healthy. He doesn't need defending though, after all, he's a Pro MX champion and you're just a random weirdo on vital. 🤡

If it truly is EBV, he's going to need 3 to 6 months rest doing absolutely nothing.

Sorry I don't have the time or the crayons to explain it to you, although it is from the herpes virus, it is not the kind you are use to.

The fact that not only can you diagnose but also map out his recovery from your computer from half way around the world is nothing short of a miracle…

Anderson and Husky both seem to be over each other for whatever reason.
