Been having a lot of break-in’s in my area lately. Just looking to see what everyone uses for home security like cameras and such. My bikes are all insured but I’d really like to invest in a good security system as well like cameras and such. What’s everyone recommend?
I know there are good security service companies that will instal and monitor cameras also

For real though, we have the Yi cameras you can get on Amazon in a 4 or 5 pack for around 100 bucks.
We have those through the house and some pointing out. They're Nest knockoffs, so you can use the nest outdoor inclosures.
They have expandable memory slots for a microSD, and you can access the video stored on the SD card through their app. You can also subscribe to their cloud storage, but you don't need to as long as you review and download the needed footage within the amount of time your SD card can hold. They're nice little units and we have had great luck with them and still use for things like - checking in on the dogs, or checking why there were tire tracks in our driveway snow when we got home.
Plus, you can do simple stuff like removing the string opener at the top of the garage door, and use moving blankets to cover the bikes so stop wondering eyes. Plus, I try not to publicize them also when washing, loading etx. Watch getting followed home also, that used to happen in England.
If they want it, they'll take it. You just have to make it less convenient to take your shit.
I just picked up some smart tag for my keys and just now thought it's maybe worth adding a smart tag somewhere on the bike like LoJack used to be?
Also a good idea to remove the ECU from your bike keep it separate.
I also run a chain tightly under the bike stand and lock to each foot peg. I figure it will deter or slow down the process.
Anchoring to the floor is a great idea, but I move things around too often.
Insurance was my biggest peace of mind though.
Edit: I also make sure the cars are locked and the garage door controller is not in plain sight
Make it hard to steal your stuff and make sure and call your insurance guy and have your bike covered. Most of the time its pretty cheap and your home owners does not cover your bike.

An option to a wired camera system is a remote game camera, motion triggered, placed in a spot that would capture intruders. Granted, its after the fact.
Also made a steel frame that locks over the single door and a pair of ground anchors to hold down the roller shutter.
Still don't sleep for shit sometimes thinking about them going missing, really need to crack on and sort some dedicated bike insurance thing like Sandtrack said.
It's literally never ending over here.
