So he is getting suspended for racing when the bike was comprimised?
Rumblings about he tried to blow it up on the parade lap with some settings then intentionally stalled it on the start grid resulting in pitlane start.

Well, aside from being fast on a streetbike his second greatest skill seems to be drama

His demeanor in the interviews was quite strange. They way he was acting he surely had already signed with someone. He must’ve already known that he wasn’t going to be yamaha’s # 1 guy with Fabio moving over to the factory team this year. He didn’t even beat Franko in the points last year, while Franco was on an older bike. I wonder how his new employer feels about this situation? If I was his employer, I wouldn’t be to happy about this situation. Hopefully he didn’t just run himself out of MotoGP.

Homebolios. There is rumour that Petronas is bailing from SRT and they might scrap Moto3 & Moto2 teams.

There's an on-bike video on MotoGP.com from last week-end that shows Vinales coming into the pits with 2 laps to go, clutching it and revving the snot out of it on the rev limiter.
Then he coasts a bit, and does it again!
Pretty incriminating.
Aprilia must be having 2nd thoughts now about bringing that twat on board.

Anyway, it looks like Cal Crutchlow will be on the factory bike now for Silverstone, and Jake Dixon on the SRT bike.

It will be great if Cal can get a top-10 or even a top-5 on home turf.

Also, saw a rumor that they may be cancelling Austin now due to 'poor vaccination rate in TX' and rise in Covid cases.
Will be a lot of disappointed Americans hoping to see VR46 one last time...

Incredible MotoGP race today. What took place equates to winning the Lotto.

Enjoy.

What a crazy and fun race.
My man Mir has limited the damages and even took some points from Fabio.
It was fun to watch them battle the dry tires in the last lap.

Viñales behavior will cost him more than a ban, his reputation is in tatters. Who wants to pay millions to such a childish man.
I'm fearing we will never see the Marc Marquez pre injury, he can't dominate anymore. Hope I'm wrong if not then I watched one of the most skilled 2 wheel rider in his prime.

Waiting to watch the race since I've been on the road all day and now this redneck racing is going into overtime. Those cars don't need to be on the Indy road coarse anyway.

I think Marc is still there... he's not that far removed from all those surgeries.

The way he comes in to corners is just nuts.

That was a crazy finale. Props to Binder for making a ballsy decisioin and for pulling it off. And the leaders that went for wet tires, and then coming through the guys on slicks on the last lap at like 3x the speed, that was insane.

Really hoping Pecco can get that win soon.

That race was insane. When Rossi was in second of third I was losing it. Good for Binder and KTM.

Also rooting for pecco to get that win, love his attitude.

Would have been a 200th podium for Rossi and the perfect sendoff from Austria. He got as far as 3rd before getting passed by the wet setup bikes.

Petronas made it's official exit statement today.

Motorcycle News reported yesterday that there is a new Italian sponsor coming on board with naming rights for the Yamaha B-team

Looks like there is truth in that:

PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team Principal Razlan Razali and Team Director Johan Stigefelt will continue in the MotoGP category from 2022 onwards with a new entity. This new entity and title partner will be announced at the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini in Misano on September 16.

I think it's already confirmed to be With U, an Italian energy company. They are currently a smaller sponsor of Quartararo and the Sepang team. You can often see their logo on the on-board shots of FQ.

Well after today's race I don't see how Fabio loses this title unless he gets injured (and he nearly did in FP2). He would have to have a couple of non-scores in succession just to bring Mir, Bagnaia and Zarco anywhere close, and right now the 20 is just dialled-in.

Another fun race. Aleix was not going to be denied that podium. All six brands in the top 6. Good stuff.

Good race but I think this needs to be mentioned and why they don't talk about it much on the broadcast what is up with Marquez and his banging into riders and causing ill will and crashes.

If he has to start from the second row or farther back I guarantee those riders in front havta be wary of him.

Can't believe he hasn't been warned or penalized, he clearly took out the Ducati Pramic rider. Angry

Marquez has been a wrecking ball all season. It seems that guy can't stay off the ground. I know his arm has issues, but none the less. Seems like he is hitting the pavement quite a bit.

Marquez has always ridden on the edge, seems like those fine details that he was so good at before are taking a while to come back to him. Hopefully he gets it straightened out soon.

Yes I agree with this, the difference being in the past he usually always qualified on the pole or front row and did not havta barge his way through the field.

My point is why no warnings or fines?
Is he under a different set of rules ala (the Jordan Rules)?
Ask Aleix Espargaro what he thinks about a few races back when he slammed him HARD the first time then nudged him the SECOND time on the restart! Woohoo

Or Rossi, there is a recent video of Vale where he says he doesn't feel good racing Marc.

Don't get me wrong I'm not a hater, just don't think he should be racing under a different set of rules and just because he's a Superstar he should be held accountable for his actions.

Anytime in the past when he's had to come through the pack he's been a bully. He's trying to ride like he was before the injury and the edge is off. He's also riding against several rookies who don't know they're supposed to be intimidated when they're near him.

I get why there have been no warnings or fines. Marc is the face of MotoGP now that Rossi is retiring and he's working his way back from a major injury, they don't want to ruffle his feathers. Right or wrong it is what it is.

As far as Vale goes, I take his comments on Marc with a grain of salt for 2 reasons.

1. He and Marc have had some heated races and press conferences, not sure how friendly they are with each other off track these days.

2. Giberneau, Biaggi and Stoner have said similar things about Rossi in the past, he's no flower child when it comes to trading paint, at least he wasn't when he was in his prime.
