Funny thing is Paulin was the first rider to hit the leap at MXON in practice. Coldenhoff was probably the most consistent hitting it all day long.

If you’re going to cherry pick, at least be more subtle about it. Unadilla

They are the tracks that European guys like Ferrandis and Roczen are currently winning on.

Ruts on a sand track like Lommel or Valkensward= Rough. Ruts on any other type dirt= Rutcross. Stop with the double standards!

It really bummed me out when I got there that weekend and they had that big mound at the base of it. I remembered seeing the FIM guy at the national intently studying the leap and figured this was added at his bequest. I thought nobody is going to jump the thing now. Then to add insult to my American ego that weekend "The Hoff" and Paulin hucked it anyway and none of our guys ever did it that I witnessed lol. But yeah we have a lot more big air time on our tracks for sure and we groom too much along with ripping and watering waaaay too much before the event. If they didn't prep our tracks like they do they could leave the dozers and tractors parked during the event but imho they create a situation where they almost have to go out and do touch up between motos.

I don't think they had started adding all the sand to the track back when James was and some of the others were jumping it on 125's. I think they also had a little more run at it back in the day meaning the corner was a little further back.

There’s a video somewhere of Pastrana casing it on his 125 in 2001 and completely destroying his wheel.

Right! 13hr drive to Red Bud for the MXdN and the legendary Larocco's Leap. I get there to see a speed bump in front of it
