Few front brake problems. Red Bud the motor. Then the LL last year.

I figure he gets some kind of bonus if he finishes top 15 or top 10. So he finishes as far down as possible as the big FU

Crazy huh.

Where is 2021 Daytona Tomac?
2020 Tomac wins Thunder Valley and now 10th?

How does that happen? The first half of the motos it looked like he was actually trying as hard as possible and he can't keep up.

It is not everyone else just got faster. He has gotten massively slower and has no desire in the second half of the motos.

Biggest dropoff in speed, in such a short period of time I have ever seen.

How many times has his bike barely finished the race in a cloud of smoke? Has Kawasaki been able to address the issue that causes this? If not, I could see it being a major point of contention and him not wanting to risk personal injury riding a bike that seemingly often can’t take the abuse.

If they haven’t done anything about it to his satisfaction for last summer, and again this year, and no assurances of it being any different for next year, no wonder he’s moving on to another team.

I don’t know if this is the case, just speculation.

That would also mean, not doing good for Eli’s bank account.
But he's comfortable. And he's still making bank with these results.

I remember a discussion on here about Monster Cup- some people saying how much effort Tomac would bring to win that one night for 1 Million dollars and how he'd lay it all on the line.... I argued otherwise- $1M dollars isn't worth risking injury for when you've already got $15m..

Tomac is my biggest disappointment so far this year.. until the second 250 moto when Jmart crashed out and looks to be hurt.

I figured he wouldn’t do well because he gets terrible starts. But the second moto he was around 5th in the first corner and still went backwards so who knows

Given how Roczen starts every season off super strong it's a bit early to call it yet. Hopefully the fitness/health issues are long gone but its been a while since he's stayed strong for an entire season.

That works for riders with a social presence, the only time I see Eli on social is when one of his sponsors post something. For someone that hates the limelight, and sees to be on the downside, don’t see why he just doesn’t retire. No shame in his career, he can hold his head high. Go to your ranch and enjoy your family

It’s not even the Daytona result that is puzzling to me, he got a hole shot and controlled the pace there. What’s puzzling to me is this is the same guy that ran down Sexton at Atlanta 1 and was a consistent fast qualifier in supercross, even yesterday he was 3rd in qualifying.

I can only assume he is mailing it in this year due to bad blood with kawi. Deep down, he's still a racer so we see glimpses of effort out there and when it comes to something like Daytona he still went for it since apparently that matters enough to him. I'd be shocked if he continued riding like this next year on yamaha (if that's where he goes). If he's truly lost speed compared to others he would retire.

His resume out weighs his social media , some guys like social media, some dont. Kawy hired him to win, and he brought them 4 titles. Pretty good investment.

In what little I've seen of him on the broadcast it looks like he's trying to make passes early , not getting it done then falling way off the pace . Strange to see.

He isn't the same guy for sure. Maybe his time is simply over. It happens to everyone eventually. He has lost the blazing fast lap, but more importantly be now fades as the moto goes. That is the biggest difference. Every race he gets noticably slower as the race progresses. Same bike he has been on forever, so it's hard to blame it on that.
