Enjoy the outdoor Nationals they only happen once a year. Except for Pala this year but if something opened up during the early part of the year they could move it a lot of good tracks out there in other states.

You may already know this, but they do have free parking at Thunder Valley - you just have to either walk a half a mile to the track, or hop on the bus. Only the 'Close in' parking is $35 plus a $4 fee.

I don't mind the general admission prices getting to be what they are. What irks me is going to my home track as a loyal fan that has been to 90% of the races they've EVER had and watching more and more real estate getting eaten up by these VIP areas and upcharge areas. I haven't gone to a race in person since the Des Nations and I was on a little mini rebellion streak but that is over for now. I've GOT to be there in person this year when BAM on the GAS shreds REDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD BUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!

That parking is right across the street from the pits. You can actually watch the race from there if you wanted to. Bring a carload and share the cost and you are almost attending for free.

Compared to the following:

Disney Florida- 1 Day 1 park $124 per person
Daytona 500 $149 per seat
Jags season tickets in a decent seat $1170 per seat, nose bleed was $660
NBA tickets start around $60
These prices do not include parking fee and throw in the cost of food and beverage as well since you can't bring it in with you.

More of the gate should go to the non-factory riders IMO. Allow privateers to kinda make a living.

Would gladly pay double if they'd turn off the goddamned PA system early & often.

Point is stuff isnt cheap, now consider seeing the best riders in the world. $55 is cheap. Whether or not you like the other stuff doesnt mean others dont. Some are willing to pay ,some arent. This is 2021 not 1985

The wages for some are still 1985 or close to it, I started selling cars in the year 2000 the minimum amount they would pay per car sold to the salesman was $100 and the max was 25% of the profit, Mini is if there isn't much profit. Guess what those numbers are today 21 years later? Exactly the same. so how much was it to go to a national in the year 2000?
