Im normally a quad guy, but after 8 years off 2 wheels I finally decided to buy another one. Took some searching but I found an 03 125SX in need of a little love for $1500.

Now the question is, Bud Light or Hot Wheels graphics?

Concur. Bud light would require silver parts/plastic/seat to get the look.

I mean, at least I’m fast on the quads. I hate the drunk squids that give us a bad name as much as you guys do.

Get a fresh stock set! I always loved that era of KTM graphics. Looks cool when they put those on the newer models too.

Another vote for stock here and yes, sort those WP stickers out. Don’t know how so many put those on wrong. Even my neighbour did that.

Yes, this. Back in the day I had this same bike and found those replica graphics on ebay. That's still the best look for this bike in my opinion.

Fast bike but I do not miss that chassis and suspension at all. Good luck with it.

Quad guy, well glad to see you’re done experimenting. Welcome back. Bud light graphics. Blue wheels.

Btw... it’s spoke with my wallet....

Congrats for the new bike! Grant Langston replica graphics is the only right way to go with 2003 125SX

Got started on the repairs, $1500 bike there’s gonna be work to do. Some new bodywork, updated to the 2013 fender and number plate. The oil was milky as all hell, time to rebuild the water pump, flush the coolant, clean and oil the filter and get it ready for its maiden voyage to the track.

I noticed some gunk on the drain bolt when I pulled it, didn’t worry too much, dropped the milky oil, came out looking like coffee creamer. Went to replace the drain bolt and realized the “gunk” was JB Weld, uh oh. Sure enough, the drain is stripped. Hopefully I’ll be able to heli coil it today or tomorrow and make it out to the track this weekend. Probably the last warm one we’ll get.

I'd checl out all the magnesium stuff on/in the engine to see if the water/coolant got to it and caused any "decay".

Good Luck, Great Bike! The "111 Red Bull" look is AWESOME on those bikes.

Thanks I'll check that out, and I hated that era's front fender, IMO the 2013 one looks way better. Definitely leaning more towards a Langston replica now than an MC one.

Bike's coming along, lots of work done, still a ways to go before spring

All new bodywork

New graphics based on Langston/Hughes bikes

Big dent in the pipe when I bought it

Filled the pipe with water and froze it, big dent is gone

Left it in the freezer a little too long and split the weld. Gonna need to fix that

Got the wire wheel going to get the rust off

Some metal polish and a little heat treatment with the torch

Looking much better!

Still on the list:
Fork seals
Brake bleed
Clutch master cylinder rebuild
New seat foam/cover

Got the forks and shock rebuilt, new seat cover, new grips, pipe is welded up and she’s track ready just in time for all recreational facilities to be added to the Covid shutdown list. Good thing the farm next door is available to ride.
