The bikes, gear and helmets looked so much cooler than the last 20 years. Glad I got to enjoy that era.

Agree 100%. Custom painted helmets with tons of neon, neon gear, and it was only about 1-1.5k plus trade to get a new bike each year. I’m so thankful to have grown up racing in the 90’s.

What you have going on there ? You build a SM KX250? Or is your bike on a dyno?

Yeah NCY was so cool back then. I raced it in 4 states, Pedro,s sx bike always got comments. Most of the races where in 97, it was still a competitive bike. I have no idea who did the porting, they said they hv a guy. That was good enough for me. I installed a 38mm carb, got a 3rd in 30b in 1 moto Millville amateur day, 125 b 8th and 24th crashes. Full gates, snuck out for extra practices. It was crazy with over 1,300 riders. I ran the stock pipe there, couldn’t get my forks stiff enough for the whoops. I tried to manual them on the back wheel in a high gear, after a few the front would drop. Down shift then slam every whoop. Huffman even had trouble getting threw them.

I have two NOS seat covers from the year before when Metz was still on the team. The black carbon with lightning bolts graphics. Now all I have to do is get a nos graphic kit haha I talked to dare decals to replicate them he just can’t find good enough pics of the old ones.

Was it 94 graphics if so I remember them. Tommy Clowers was on the team also. Some magazine tested the 94, super short silencer, so sick.
