Jamie Little and Jenny Taft are awesome- that's why they moved up the food chain from our "core" sport. I don't remember them catching nearly the flack that is spewn at Rutledge Wood, I wonder why...?
Becasue they didn't suck nor did they ever seem to think they were some kind of "NASCAR Royalty"...

I so miss Jenny Taft.... She had such great rapport with the riders/broadcast team.

Will Christien is the exact opposite....wooden, corporate....

Had to see this for myself and I regret it now. This is the pink tuxedo he mentioned on Pulp, saying he wore it to make a mock of the Nascar banquet requiring him to wear tuxedo, after stating that he didn't see the problem with wearing his usual plaid flannel shirt because the average Nascar fan is shirtless in the stands anyway. This clown likes to believe he's better than the common fan and doesn't mind mocking them when given the chance. DV had nothing to apologize for and I appreciate him sticking up for us core supercross fans!

I just dismissed him as another uninformed outsider, comic relief and it didn’t really bother me. He did himself no favors showing his true colors. I’m sure he will torture us again and again because he like his bosses believe we don’t know anything about bringing in new fans.

I was channel surfing last night and sure enough Top Gear America was on so i stopped to check it out for a minute, you guys shoulda seen this tool bag take a pull off a jar of moonshine and puked his guts out. Foust and the other dude had no issues taking a swig! I laughed so hard it made my night....

The best thing for NBC to do with this morAn is to Squeeze an Extra Large helmet onto his skull, slap him on a factory 450, duct tape his hands to the handlebars and let him do a hot lap. And film it.

Twelve pages, so not sure if it's been touched on, but DV said something about there being a half million viewers. I'm sure we've all been to a supercross, and what do we think of the percentage that ride and know the sport? Because whenever I go, it seems like 90% are just there because it's a fun event to watch and drink beer with friends, same as how the majority that watch nascar/monster jam/pro rodeo, probably aren't really geeking out on it. As much as I hate to say it, I bet the majority of people that watch supercross probably don't know enough to think, "somebody get this awkward hipster out of here".

Hahaha they did that to poor Dan Cortese back in the day!

IMO, that's on a good day with limited competition

PBR Benefits From Stronger NFL
Airing adjacent to CBS NFL coverage, coverage of the Professional Bull Riders tour earned a 1.4 rating and 2.13 million viewers Sunday — up 17% in ratings and 15% in viewership from last year (1.2, 1.84M), and up a tick and 1% respectively from the third NFL-adjacent telecast in 2016 (1.3, 2.11M).

On a GOOD DAY, PBR could only pull 2.1M on a major network
(Full disclosure, that info is 2 yrs ago)

Honestly Rutledge is right that moto fans are insecure (not all but he was talking about the ones chirping him about his tv appearance). As a group in general moto guys bitch a lot about the track, their bike, something not going right. If anything Rutledge said offended you you are probably the insecure person he was talking about. And the affliction comment was pretty damn funny.

I really don't get in which way considering he is the worst TV clown ever puts me in the insecure category.
That's just a whole load of crap, in which he obviously has a phd.

Insecure? He was on someone's Instagram post (I think it was PulpMX) defending himself over every negative comment made towards him. Hilarious

How many minutes of the 3 hr broadcast is he actually on TV? 2 at the most?

I don't have an opinion on him because I could care less about the announcers. I'm here to watch racing not broadcast journalism at its finest.

One word, mangina.

That dude has a huge ego IMO. I'm a pretty chill guy, but fuck Ruttledge.

Another outsider who wants to grow the sport. I bet his check cleared. Rut wasn't there for free.

I loved how he tried to play himself off as a long time fan of the sport, but also stated that he doesn’t know who DV is.

This thread isn't really about his few minutes on the broadcast, it's MUCH more about his appearance on the Pulp show.
At the end of the day, yeah we are all bitching about something that doesn't really matter, but wow he made it so easy with his arrogance and superiority complex on Pulp. If you haven't heard that, you need to...

How arrogant do you have to be to think people only don’t like you on the broadcast because they’re insecure and you’re an outsider. Maybe he’s just bad and people are mad because they’re tired of SX being by far the worst produced professional sport on TV and want the on air time he takes up to be used better

The thread started out about his broadcast appearance.

Even before him showing his @ss and then getting it handed to him on Pulp....this was the bottom line.

1.) His hokey "dumbing down" fake shtick is an insult to the fans of this sport
2.) He added literally nothing of value to the broadcast.

Yes, we can mute him, or go "take a dump" when he's on...

In the end, it's just making a mockery of our sport and the fans. It's not going to bring in new fans.

He’s been on Twitter doubling down, calling anyone who disagrees with him insecure.

Grinning Have fun.

Not sure if he's doing all the Atlanta rounds, but he'll be at the first one on April 10th.

As long as "light socket" is code for Rutledge's eyeball.
