I support any track that stands up for the safety of it customers. In 40 years working in this sport for fun I have witnessed to many parents cross over the line and had to be dealt with including calling the police to have them removed. I think it’s great they support their kids in a great sport but remember teach the the positives and not a bully mentality.

If the description of the event is how it sounds in the IG post, sounds like the dude got lucky that all he got was permanent banishment.

I know everyone who I worked at the track with considered it all a big family.

Someone attacking a family member would likely get your ass whipped, and banned.

So for us not in CA, the (2) trackside vendors got into it? I like a good mystery but will definitely take the cliff notes to speed things up!

Those posts look like they are for the same vendor, MX Pro Parts. Sounds like a rider/parent went after a track worker.

Kinda funny how you say you support any track that stands up for the safety of its customers when this is the same management that banned Metz for trying to address stuff in the dirt that was a safety issue at their other track.

Not to hijack, but on a tangential note, anyone planning to race the last round of the SwapMoto El Dorado series in a "main track" class may want to read this: https://www.swapmotolive.com/important-info-for-the-final-round-of-the-…
They moved all the "main track" classes to Saturday. Vet track classes will still run Sunday.

All the years I have worked at tracks, I have seen people do some horrible things to friends, family and their own kids.
And the things people will say in front of their children in a rage is REALLY scarry.....very scarry.

Sometimes you just have to put your foot down with people

The guy they kicked out is an asshat lol seen him on many job sites, gets kicked off of those as well. Sign clearly said restrooms were closed. But he’s above that and then when asked again to not use them he threw a fit. Life ban is a bit much but it’s great seeing someone like that aced.

Read through the thread and not one person has explained what this thread is about. I guess some guy got kicked from a track, and two vendors did something or other, but maybe not. Regardless, Mike Metzger got kicked for expressing his views, and hey...Cali.

Did it get physical? I’ve seen some questionable stuff at just about any track I’ve been to as far as what spectators will do

Wouldn't surprise me. There's a good chunk of people here in So Cal that go to the tracks that think they own the place and deserve to get treated better than anyone else. Not sure if it's becoming a problem everywhere or just here in So Cal, but there's definitely no shortage. The worst are the 16-24 year old crowd that think they are entitled to do whatever they want, whenever they want.

He tried to make it physical it was laughable haha he tried getting into it with a 19 year old kid, who’s the track manager. He’s been working there since he was 15. Pretty embarrassing for that guy ha one less asshole at the track 👍🏻

Wtf we are so lucky to even have places to ride. I’ve had track workers help load bikes and jumpstart trucks, why would you pick a fight with one?!?!
