High quality bearing kits?

Hi all, looking to replace some bearings on a 2008 crf450, my options are All balls and pivot works however from past experience the bearing quality is trash on both. Ive had both fail prematurely on separate occasions.

Are there any other bearing kits that are better quality?

I have used ProX wheel and linkage bearings without any issues the last 5 years. Can't say if ProX is better than All Balls or Pivot Works, but that is my experience with ProX.

Nachi for the wheel bearings: they are often Honda OE and genuine also for the others if possible. If the needle rollers are a catalog size, IKO brand.

Prox or OEM are good, agree on the all balls and pivot works, junk

Only use OEM when available, anything else is junk it seems....

i ended up replacing all the all balls linkage bearings after 5 hours to OEM on my 06 KX250 last year ... never again will i use anything but OEM.

I used to sell Nachi bearings when I worked at an auto parts store. Used them for replacements on my bicycle and dirt bike. Very good quality and I never saw one that wasn’t made in Japan.

I’ve also had good luck with SKF and Koyo bearings.

ProX wanted there to be no dispute on where their kits are made, they printed twice "Made in China".

Oem for linkage . Every thing else is junk . They just break.

Id get oem linkade and swing arm , and you would get away with prox wheel bearing s , they are good enough

OEM is best. You can try a local bearing supplier if you have one. SKF, Koyo or timken are all great bearings

I go to the local bearing house with the ones I want to replace and some times you have a choice between Chinese, German Japanese and USA, Sweden, and they much cheaper.
Beware that some older names are now manufactured in China, Timken would be an example

That’s the manufacturers part number and then the distributors/dealers part number over the top....

I’m a Kawasaki guy but anytime I can get a bearing from OEM Honda that will fit my bike, I get it!

Yup. ProX was acquired a few years ago and promptly began to source parts based on price, not quality. The days of them selling genuine OE quality parts are over (save for the part numbers they haven’t switched over yet).
