Barcia hit Vince. Vince was in the normal line, Barcia tried to go outside and ran out of room.
We all say it to people, hold your line, let the faster guy find his way around YOU. If you move, chances are 50/50 you'll move the wrong way. Hold your line.
Vince was also in his own battle with Enticknap.

Did we say this about the Delano/94 incident? Seems Deano just “held his line.”

This is racing and Barcia was racing for position in all of the things that are being described here. If you fault him you really don’t want a race, you just want a process that validates a way for your favorite to come out on top. That’s not racing.

Since the start of the race is just as important as the end of the race, his move or miscalculation on KR is still racing. Just look at the fact that the top 2-3 racers generally break away and gap 3-4 place by 20+ seconds so there is incentive to get in front early and you do this by racing early.

Just weeks ago people were talking about KR when he got blocked and the adrenaline spikes racers have in the moment. If that is a reason it applies to JB as well and people need to stop claiming he can’t take what he gives because of his adrenaline induced response on the track after an incident.

I saw a race tonight, from start to finish. Without JB, all I needed to watch was the first two laps. If that’s the case it’s not racing, it’s a confirmation pageant.

It was a lot of cat and mouse racing, where mistakes and differences were fractional, so no mistakes was crucial.

You mean Webb following Barcia until Barcia made a mistake? How about Tomac following Webb? Did you mean Musquin showing up on the podium?

Matter of fact, yes. My opinion on that mirrors many in the industry, KR94 panicked, grabbed a handful and went wide out of the line allowing Cooper to cut inside.
Had KR remained calm and waited another half second and held tight inside with Wilson, he'd have won.

Yes, lappers should move when possible, but many times they too are in their own battles, as Vince was with Enticknap

Don’t bring Facts into an opinion/biased based discussion please. This is VitalMX after all. Only lynch mobs, haters and a fair share of hypocrisy are allowed.

Agreed but nobody needed to watch past the second lap for that. Barcia produced all the action in this race.

If Friese didn't know if he was in a battle with Enticknap then this makes him even more of an idiot.

"Vince was doing his thing, Barcia ran into him"

Yeah. We all saw that. And Vince "doing his thing" is the problem. All lappers, whether privateer or factory, whether in a battle for points or not, need to get out of the way of the lead riders. It's clearly written in the rules. Take a look at the track map. The mechanic's area was in front of the start gate. Friese had ample space to move over, and he had the chance to slow down and roll the double. He's experienced enough to know better.

It would be sort of funny if the actaul riders would give their take on these incidents, got to think 90 percent of these posts that "tell" professional racers how to race are way off the mark. As example im a very slow rider, no way do i know how fast shit happens and their decisions made in the moment. Really how many of you ride Barcias speed, hell even Frieses speed, and make perfect decisions every lap.

He was closing in on webb, friese should of gotten out of the main line when being lapped.

And Barcia should be able to avoid risks and get around lappers without putting himself in a riksy position. Barcia just appears to have no concept...

I’ve been thinking about your comment because I agree but I think you’ve employed it wrong in this case.

For example, in F1/ MOTOGP drivers sometimes complain that the track/ conditions are too dangerous and demand some kind of change using safety as an argument.

The problem is that it is their responsibility to operate safely and within their limits. So in the above example the drivers put the responsibility on the promoters because the drivers cannot operate safely in the rain without wrecking and losing.

Barcia wasn’t racing dangerously or irresponsibly. With Tomac on his tail, he was going forward. He didn’t intend on wrecking.

How is that relevant?

Seriously. How?

It’s a favorite “jab” to throw out on here and it’s so stupid.... If having pro speed was a pre-requisite for having an opinion this place wouldn’t exist.

Once the blue flag is out and waving the lappers should stay in the inside line which then leads to the outside line. No more crossing the track ever. That is essentially holding your line. Stay put...stay out of the way.

You missed to add "emotional/opinion/based discussion... backed up by, "I am in the industry and know some people so I am right"...

When in a race it the goal is to pass the rider in front of you, always! or maybe I am missing something

Kind of my thinking.

When I was racing a billion years ago, I raced everyone in front of me, lapper or leader....if I came up on them, my job was to pass them.

Is that wrong now?

Will this continue until Vince finally takes a series leader out? He should drop down to Arenacross if he's going to ride like a squirrel.
