From Herlings part it isn't smart to talk downgrading about women for a few reasons. Besides all previous mentioned, the Moto community knows that he is known for treating women badly. I will only mention the most famous 'shit' created by his lack of respect towards his girlfriends. He treated his, back then girlfriend Cynthia Tonus pretty badly (rumors say he wasn't afraid to yell bad shit things and give her a smack to the head) Her dad and Arnaud did not put up with his shit and give him a serious smack down. Herlings took some retaliation by sending Arnaud into the fences at the Grand Prix of France.

I've some other stories but don't think that those girls wanna be reminded to those days...

Oh please, he's young and doing what young, successful, good looking people do... male or female. They live good lives and have fun. Just because he's honest doesn't make him an egotist. And remember Europeans in general have a much more casual attitude towards sex than Americans. Nudie magazines are in the rack with all the other magazines, etc.

Looks to me like Tonus turned into Herlings. Not like he didn't have room to avoid him.

This interview is not about anything is't badly translated, you can't trantlate soccer canteen talks into a serious subtitled interview, Andy van de Meijden the interviewer has a reputation in the past he was f.cking the hole world exept his own wife, so he hardly now's Herlings only from the news so to break the ice they do a little trash talk nothing serious.
The dutch are very direct in what they say and think that may come across as arrogant to foreigners especially when you translate Dutch directly in english, and the Dutch are very open open minded about sex and relatitions.

This is not an impressive video for me. I get he is just hanging out. Certainly he knows this video will be put out. I can get any woman who settles for his stated form of interaction deserve it. I can understand his only audience at that moment was another professional athlete. Again he would have known this would be put out.
But acknowledging all these things openly just makes him appear spoiled, self absorbed, and lacking respect for others.

Just saying he earned this right to behave like that is just excusing his lack of greater character.

But if I was a sponsor and included women in who I promoted products to I would be disturbed by this video

I'm not disagreeing with how this looks for him, but to be honest i don't think KTM really cares. This interview is just a blip on the radar anyways.

If KTM wanted a PR dream they would have picked Coldenhoff over Herlings. But they pick Herlings because he wins, and winning is what sells KTMs.

Dutch's are very friendly in general even if they looks ultra confident. I feel always very good in Holland end I always liked to go out there. This is a beautiful country with nice People. Axel has always been my favorite practice track and Valkenswaard my favorite GP. I don't get it why Jeffrey looks bad in the ITW. He is honest, funny and open talk.

Dude comes off like a arrogant douche bag IMO. Imagine if that was Max Verstappen giving an interview like that, he would be publicly crucified.. and rightfully so. He's an extremely talented motocross racer, but past that there doesn't seem to be much to idolize.

I don't have a problem with what he said in and of itself because to me it's obviously just bravado humour, pub talk etc. I didn't have a problem with Trump for his infamous joke either for the same reasons. And let's be honest, women have their own version of this too... That said he knows this interview is going to be seen by many people within our sport and it may have been unwise given the world we live in now. It's 2 blokes having a laugh and talking sh!t - so slap a warning on the start of the vid for parents to decide.

He is in his early 20s,a multi millionaire with a god given talent for riding a motocross bike like no one else most of the time

He clearly has planned for his future financially

I say hes got a pretty good life and long may it last for him,honestly like this is refreshing

IMO, This has nothing to do with his sex life or how he treats women.

This is about building his brand. He was totally played by Andy's questions and felt the need to brag about his conquests and money. Plain and simple. It was an incredibly dumb move by Herlings.

Nothing in that video helped Herlings in any way, and Andy got exactly what he wanted and is laughing his ass off as he was driving away..

Good luck with him landing some more big sponsors. Not a smart move.

With all this talk of how “the Dutch are more open & casual about sex & sexuality”, and how Herlings is just a young millionaire living the life...I’m in agreement, BUT somebody in KTM’s media/marketing department needs to tell the kid to STFU!!! His apparent disregard for women and all that is known about his history does not promote his employer in a good light...nor does his being interviewed by this complete douche of a has-been soccer star.
