Tokyo is $100 and Twisted is $250.
Anyone have experience with either ?
I will say when I called into Tokyo the guy who I talked was very knowledgeable and whoever answered the phone at Twisted was an idiot.

I thought it was just me but apparently I’m not alone.
TM was a pain to get someone to talk to but the dude there had zero issues talking to about all the motor questions I threw at him.
‘18 kx450f, which whoever at TD suggested I ditch multiple times for a new bike despite my reasons for specifically choosing that bike. Like it’s not only 2 years old 🤷♂️
Idk, I got a bad Pro Circuit vibe from TD but I went from wanting to use them for map stuff to now idk.
Do what you will with that information, that was my experience.

Weasel, may be worth it to contact him. Might be a bit of a drive for you but he'll actually put your bike on the dyno and tune to the way your bikes set up or to your liking.
I also noticed they no longer have the programming form available on the website?
Here is a thought. How many teams in SX are running Tokyo Mods Motors/ Ecu?
Twisted has more than a few teams with his products between their legs. .
If cost is your concern then go with the cheaper option but just always remember you get what you pay for...
My kx I just got a vortex with twisted maps. It hits pretty hard.. a little too much 😂 but again the guy I talked to was friendly and knowledable.
My next bike I might try XPR. From listening to keefers podcast he says Jamie usually maps for harder hitting power and xpr maps for smoother power. But what do I know I’m old and slow.. just what I herd 🤷🏼♂️
Pit Row
And to use one and then take the same bike to the other and bitch about it is wrong also. These guys both but their asses to put out a quality product so so your homework and ask around and talk to both about what your looking for before you decide.
Asking someone does put them in a spot.
ECU is on the way to Tokyo Mods.
When the "new" Honda CRF450L came out...what a terrible EPA mess...yech!
Twisted Development's maps in a Vortex ECU: Voila! It runs like a 450R! (Pro Circuit pipe).
Took a 2020 CRF450X to him and got the same set-up and the same results (Yoshimura pipe).
Twisted's maps work.
Post a reply to: Tokyo Mods Or Twisted Development for stock ECU programming ?
