Not sure why it’s being said it is super spongey. I’ve had newer Honda’s and Yamahas. Place an oversized rotor floating or non floating on with a SS line and your fine. Besides, you don’t need the strongest brake setup out there. Also IMO the Honda was extremely grabby and not modulated well after installing everything.
Because it is super spongy?

It’s funny you say that. After thinking about it my Honda was like a light switch. Not really a good thing had no modulation. . I also went into the garage a couple hours ago and noticed the brake leaver was adjusted way too close to the grip. I adjusted it way out like they say in the manual and it’s gets pretty stiff now has a lot more modulation before it stiffens up. It’s just a different feel then the Honda. I think it should be fine in the end as they upgraded the rotor and piston size this year. I may get a solid mount rotor that’s it. And just shelve the Honda mc for the future.

Thanks all for the info.

You guys are funny. I love the more progressive feel of my Yami front brake compared to the ones on my husky. They were basically on or off.

Although I've read of peeps swapping to the Honda M/C I've never tried it. For me on my last 3 YZs I've done a GYTR or Galfer stainless line with new fluid as well as a solid Galfer rotor and their pads although the 21' oem has the same semi metallic pad. For me personally it's been spot on for my use. If you're chasing Austrian stopping power it ain't gonna happen. Personally I'm happy with my setup.

Did you order Vortex from TD just from website? Doing 1000 dollars purchase with that site just doesnt seems right, they dont even have any contact info other that cell phone number. I would love to try Vortex ecu with good mapping but wanted to hear it first.

Well, my bike is finished, here is few pics !

The last photos is the dyno comparison between the stock bike and the bike with the GET ECU / FMF Exhaust / Nihilo Carbon airbox / DT1 Powerflow filter cage.

Well, the stickers is from a stickers company over here in France, it is tailored made from the star racing bike so nothing too difficult and the GET ECU was tuned by SR MotorSports (the guy over there is the ex mechanic of Stefan Everts and have really good reputation with tuned ECU).

And agreed with you Ryan, the Nihilo product is damn too expensive but the the cover is really nice looking and the tuner said it was a real noticeable gain on the dyno. On the other hand the fmf pipe was actually a minimal difference from the OEM pipe on the dyno....

I’m just going to drill the shit out of my cover and use it during dry race days. That will be equally as effective as the fancy cover

If you want a 21, you will either pay whatever they want you to or you will have to beg them for a couple hundred off. 2 salesmen ive talked to both have said they are going for whatever MSRP is with tax/frght/setup. Here in the PNW, bikes are just about gone. Some dealers are getting more, others wont. Gotta call and ask

Tell that to the Vitard's that think it's SOP for them to get more all year long.

Yup, I was quoted 10,200 OTD from two local dealers, and one I have history with offered me 9,609 OTD but they are 3 hours away since I moved. Found my 20 with 3 hours for 7,500 shipped to my door from a vital member 👍

Its the freight and setup. Marks up the price around $700-$800. I also have 8.2% sales tax with registration fees. Its impossible for me to buy a bike for less that 9k. I cant go to Oregon and buy a bike with no sales tax. Washington will come after me threatening to charge me with a misdeamener if I didnt register the bike in WA. The registration is cheap, its the $800 tax they want. Outrageous at times...

I financed part of it to build credit. Somewhere along the lines, I reckon the bank, made some sort of report. State caught wind and mailed me letter. It was like 8 months later from the date of purchase also, it wasn't immediate

That’s awesome man, Congrats! Your dad sounds like one generous man. Man I wish I was 150-170 pounds, the YZ250fs are so nice.
