Crew style Transit with back sectioned off will suit your needs. Saves on tags, insurance, maintenance etc having just one vehicle.

I bought a Cargo Transit and added the Ford 3 place rear seat for $400. I love this van. All my stuff is secure and when I'm done it'll even have a sleeper.

i have owned a truck, a trailer, a fun mover, etc. Van is the best of all worlds and can be used in ways other than moto.

I drive a mini cooper s to work and have a ford transit for adventures (moto, mountain bike, skiing, camping, etc.)

I couldn’t do without a truck. But if I didn’t need one, you’re right I would absolutely have a commuter and a van. I’m actually thinking about buying a cheap $5-10,000 AWD car to drive back and forth with.

You’re right, I could. I like having a truck though. Pulling the toy hauler is another reason. I don’t think you can go wrong with either option really. Anything big enough to pull my hauler is gonna get shit gas mileage anyways.

My daily commute is same at 25 miles, and I like the car better for just general getting around, easier to do most everything over a truck (plus the cost and gas mileage)

My situation, two kids in college and the wife drives, so I have to keep four cars on the road

This rig allows me to pull two-three bikes, or my bike and a water tank/pressure washer. Its AWD so getting in and out at the track is no issue.


Trailer is ultra light and easy move and load with the double hinge drop gate, Set it up with Ancra flush mounts and its so easy to use. I am not a fan of loading a pickup, this is just much easier

If you arent using the truck for other things the van and car is the way to go. Win win other then extra insurance. A 15000 dollar van wont be crazy tho.

I could never go back to a truck after having a van. They really just are that good.
So, u can fit 1 x bike in with out removing any seats?

Iv been thinking about transit crewcab, but from the out side it looks doubtful if would fit a bike

I run my transit 12 passenger as a crew cab and can fit three bikes in the back. We did remove seats but still have seating for 5 with a bolt it on system. Plenty of room if that’s what you were asking. It’s the ideal configuration for me.

Another vote for van life. It’s so nice and convenient. I love my 4x4 diesel Colorado and can get 28mpg highway even on 33’s but there is something about a motovan. I hope to get one and just keep the truck as my daily

I have a 1500 Ram, 2x4 V6. Gets avg 24mpg. Drive 400 miles a week to work. Have an old sprinter van setup for moto, vans are awesome. I compute to work with a full size truck ""
mkjjkmkm,k, km. mkll ˚µlk ,\ ..... Sorry my dog jumped on my keyboard.... Full size truck to commute because of the extra protection incase of an accident. Get a VAN!

I just traded my 58k truck for a base model Chevy cargo van 6LITER and am loving the process of making into something special like I’m 16 again. Had hitch, keyless entry installed. Tinted windows. I’ll still take my moto trailer on the weekends but if I want to take the bike to work or be low key I have the van as an option. I also bought the van for construction side work and had Work shelving installed. one day I’ll get a car for commuting but the van is amazing.
