In recent celebration of Oakley bringing back the Over The Top sunglasses. Who has the picture of James Stewart wearing them? I cant seem to find it online but can picture it in my head.

Made 20 pairs at $2,000 a pop and they're sold out already.

I’m pretty sure I’d rather stare directly at the sun with no sunglasses than be seen wearing over the tops.

Yes Oakley, I will give you Two thousand dollars for those glasses.
🤣🤣😫

Whatever they paid DV to wear those, it wasn’t worth it...

They are ugly as sin but I would say they have to be one of the most recognizable sunglasses. And like ML posted above, weird/ugly/expensive/exclusive shit from a reputable brand flys off the shelf. Wouldn’t be surprised to see knock off over the tops after the new release.

I don’t really follow “street wear” but if it floats their boat, more power to ‘em. Grinning

Yes!! Now am I dreaming that the Bubba pic exists? I can picture it of him at like Lorettas or MIni Os as a kid wearing them. Maybe its not a pic and its from an old moto VHS from when I was a kid

There’s a pic, I remember seeing it too. Can’t remember where for the life of me, though.

Jesus. I'm embarrassed for humanity that those exist for any purpose other than maybe as a movie prop for Zoolander.

“When creating new products, our goal is to find a solution to a problem our athletes are facing,” said Brian Takumi Vice President of Product Creative at Oakley. “The OVERTHETOP was born with the purpose of minimizing pressure points and reducing bounce created by force, specifically in our Track and Field athletes. We knew the design was very unique, but we never expected all the attention we received from around the world– the product truly created a global moment.”

Proof innovation for the sake of innovation can be a waste of time.

If a track and field guys performance is adversely affected by the pressure points of a normal pair sunglasses.....those things are gonna make him cry and go home

That Cycle News cover was TFS's shot from LL's, if that helps you narrow it down

add into search:

Steve Bruhn
TFS
Loretta Lynn's
