That sucks. He was 52 yrs old. From Santa Cruz. Big family that does a lot of good in the area... I was hoping it wasn't that Chris Ow. I knew him a little bit. My heart goes out to his parents.

Speed, or wind or any outside variables except the rider swapped after jumping onto the top of the jump and got out of shape and was thrown from the bike at an awkward angle and landed hard enough to suffer his injuries.
Help from several people doing CPR would not of saved him. His injury was fatal.
A Trauma Surgeon could not have saved him.
I spoke to friends he was with. I stayed with the rider until he was taken from the track.
We did everything to be as respectful to him at this time as we could. I’m sorry for the loss and sitting there 3 plus hours believe me makes you think. I stayed with him until they left so he was not alone.
Everyone of you is special and deserves the upmost respect. Pray for him and his friends and family. God Speed
I didn't know him, but thank you for doing that. That was very nice of you.

You're a good man.
We were parked above looking down as he was getting compressions and realized that it was bad.
As husbands and fathers we couldn't stop thinking about his family.
I'm sure like all of us, he would want us to ride on and that's what we did.
Helped get it off our minds.
Godspeed Chris Ow.

Planning on racing this weekend too, hopefully we can all raise up this mans memory and have a moment of silence for him. We are all human when we swing a leg over the bike and that’s the challenge we all love to face. Rest In Peace Moto brother.
That’s what it’s all about man. Good on ya

I was supposed to go today and ride with a friend. I came out to the garage to load my bike and there was a big puddle of oil under the left fork leg. My friend messaged me that someone had died and the track was closed. I was at Cahuilla last Sunday and a man died as well. Sad times.
Oh no, we were there at Cahuilla on Sunday. We left as the helicopter arrived. Guys were trying to find the rider's party at the track, had no idea it was that bad. Any idea what all happened?

I was 2 riders behind this gentleman and although I didn't see him crash, I did see him laying on the ground and not moving. I circled back to the top of the jump to make sure nobody landed on him and the guy that was helping him.

I heard that he was at the track by himself.

So Sorry to see a Fellow sportsman’s demise!! It makes me think if this can happen to a experienced rider on a easy jump ...a guy like me literally no experience !
Maybe I should just stay in contact with ground and put jumps on hold...
Condolences to Family & Friends
