I had been asked a question....

Brinell hardness test steel ball (HBS) aluminium 6061 T651
= 88 HBS up to 100 mm thickness and between 81 and 84 HBS for thicker material. This is the value of this material used for crankcases and therefore bearing seats

Of course the 7075 has much higher values in T651 up to: 163 HBS (But unlike the 6061, this one is hardly reparable, re-weldable or rechargeable.)

You are right 7075 is great to machine triple clamps and other products but for some parts it is not great because you cant weld it.

Your photography skills are as impressive as your attention to minute detail.

You have elevated the whole build concept to a whole other level. And English is not your first language but you are still getting the info across pretty damn good.

I could only imagine the gibberish I would be laying down trying to do one of my build threads in French.

Any member who puts as much effort to detail his build deserves all the recognition he can get.
I reluctantly thank you for making my efforts meager and underwhelming............hahaha...

Great job Hulk. I have enjoyed it.

I have watched this build so many times and never knew you are from France.

The build quality is amazing.

We’d had carbon Mud-flaps given to us for testing when my cousin raced for Merge, they aggressively wore the swingarm but the main issue was the noise it made. So loud with debris against it etc that it was a concern to the rider that something was broken in the back and they’d constantly stop to assess it.
I’ve wondered about the effect of the airbox/subframe also, looked at a single model for the KTM framed 500 I did for MXA but decided against it because of the previous experiences with the mud-flap.

Yes exact, I remember our conversation about that.

You warned me about the unpleasant noise it would make on the swing arm and aluminium that will be damaged very quickly, when I posted a photo where you could see the carbon mud-flaps and the Kevlar one.

Let's confess that it gives a good picture! I have plastic versions for riding.

You need to try it for sure, I’d like your feedback also.

At the time I already agreed with your arguments, which always seems good to me, this mudflap is only there for the photo, not for the ride.

It's one of those things that could be cool, that are pretty but are actually useless and do more harm than good.

The numbers on the dial indicator are meaningless when the crankshaft is not rotating, but when it is rotating, the result is one hundredth of a millimetre.

What do you mean by " patch of crank"?

Did TSR (or whoever these cases are from) miss out on some machining, or are you doing additional machining, to, I assume, fit (more?) bearing retaining plates?

Asking, because I eventually will be getting some cases, and I don't want to spend money on crap like Panthera's ( I think I recall you got caught out by their cases and / or crank - as I did with their atrocious ES kit ), nor do ''patch" up / remedial work to any product that should be perfectly sorted. I'm sick and tired of correcting f**k ups by scumbags that just take your money, and don't stand behind their products.

By the way, I may have asked this before, but how many AFs are you in the process of doing, right now?

And, have you noticed how "Coke Bottle" shaped later model RMZ450 Swingarms are?

"Patch" = set of..... (production)

Like me, you can trust the work of "Built500" or/and "TSR Racing".

There is nothing to reproach and are always in perpetual evolution, if there must be any.

I should have circled in green and not red!!!! This may have led to confusion, but don't see anything wrong with it.
It was to highlight the details of developments.

*yes,RMZ swingarms they're coke bottle love.

For the rest I will have to count at the end of this.....

what a gorgeous build!
Thank you for that!

I also remember what i told you, for the weight comparison between the two rear frames. i will dismantle the one with the carbon in a short while and i will take the opportunity to weigh it then.
