XR's Let's see em !

Here is my 1975 XR75. I rescued it a couple of years ago. The guy told me that it was a 1974 and the tank color would indicate so. However the VIN on the motor and frame says it is a 1975. That worked out for me because 1975 is what I really wanted. The motor is bone stock except for the clutch that I replaced. I had the tank fixed and painted so it is original.

I see a ton of xr75 love in here. I have one sitting in my shed right now. I believe its a 74. What is the best path forward for finding a new cylinder and piston?

I would give re-mx.com a try They carry a lot of XR75 parts. I know for sure they have pistons. Cylinders might be tough but they are out there.

Very nice build. It reminds of a build I did for a buddy of mine. He wanted a more modernized version of a stock 1986 XR200. He wanted it to look like it was made that way by Honda, retaining all the looks and features of the '86, right down to the tool bag, but with better performance and suspension. I used a XR350 front end, aluminum swingarm from a 250 and built a one off shock from three different Honda shocks. The engine had a mix of parts from different XR based engines and ran really good. He loved it.
